Hello guys my name is Artman and one of my best champions in league is Master Yi. I achieved 70% wr Master 250 lp at EUW playing this champion. In this quick guide I'm gonna help you with the champion give you some tips and examples how to play it.

The first thing you need to understand if you want to become a Yi player is what Yi is good for. Yi is assasin and very gold efficient assasin. If Yi gets a powerspike quick enough he can destroy the whole map with it. So to utilise the power of Yi and especially his passive and E you gotta build properly. Don't do no sunfire or duskblade **** because it deals less dmg and destroys the main threat that comes from this character. Let me give you an example. Enemy ADC is Draven he has no flash no stopwatch and make a little missplay in teamfight. You have flash. If you have 3 items You can literally run to him, E + flash + auto + W + auto - Q (its the moment enemy probably gonna react to you) - auto and he is dead. But with those 3 items you can do the same almost for any champion in the game. You need to utilise it and understand that its your greatest power playing Yi.






Yi is the champion that allows you to take whatever elo you want. All you need is to know champion limits perfectly and know macro very well.

Optimize your clear.
Don't do bad decisions as a jungler.
Gank the lanes you want to get ahead.
Try to get your powerspike items as fast as possible because they allow you to flip teamfights and completely stomp the game.
Don't tilt over games. Spam them.

Early game
1. Optimise your clear and get pick axe after full clear + scuttle
2. Look up for opportunities to get kills at top mid and bot. You need to understand where is the easiest spot to get your gold or either whats the best teammate for you to get ahead so you can 2v8 together. Its often useless to gank some toplane not getting ahead your Nautilus+Samira botlane.
3. Don't waste time and don't do bad ganks. It's very bad for Yi. Because he is very very gold efficient champion and all he lacks is gold.

Mid game
1. After you get your 3 items (bork + kraken + guinso (berserkers too)) you can OS any enemy champion if you play correctly. USE IT.
2. Go in at teamfight after your team or enemy team engage. NEVER GO FIRST. Wait for enemy to use their spells and core abilities so they're easy to murder.

Late game
You are most of the times weaker than you are mid game and more vulnerable to be OS'ed yourself.
Your team can int and 1 mistake can ruin the game. Care about those 2 things.
