Major

Ahri is way more mobile than Zoe is in lane and can lock Zoe down if she's not careful. Ahri definitely outranges you in lane due to her Q passing through minions. You need to be careful when you're trying to poke her as her E-Q-W combo can be very deadly especially if she hits level 6.

Akali

Extreme

Akali is an assassin. And Zoe does NOT fare well against most assassins. Always be mindful of when she will strike and try to cast your E at her when she tries to go all-in on you. You really can't do much when she does, so all you can do is run and go for your turret and rely on your allies to back you up.

Anivia

Major

Same case as Ahri, she outranges you since her Q passes through minions so she can hit you before you can hit her. Thankfully though, Anivia can be pretty predictable so always be mindful of your position and dodge!!

Annie

Major

While Zoe outranges Annie, Annie can burst Zoe to hell due to Tibbers and her passive. Always be careful when Annie is around and try to go as far away from her since she will most likely use Tibbers on you and kill you.

Aurelion Sol

Even

ASol goes toe-to-toe with Zoe. Just be careful of his stun and you can deal with him easy-peasy.

Azir

Even

Azir can poke Zoe easily in lane due to his soldiers, but Zoe can exploit his range. Try to put him to sleep when he looks to poke you and bring the pain!

Brand

Extreme

Brand outpokes AND outranges Zoe. All you can do when you're against a Brand is to try dodge his spells as much as you could and put him to sleep when he wants to go for you.

Cassiopeia

Major

Cassiopeia is a headache to deal with when you play Zoe since she has DPS that can kill you before you can even put her to sleep. Try to stay far away from her and take her short range to your advantage.

Diana

Extreme

Same goes for any assassin, be very careful in lane and try to look for an opportunity to cast your E on them when they try to go in on you.

Ekko

Tiny

Ekko gets DESTROYED by Zoe, bar-none. Catch him out of his positioning and deal the pain! They will regret picking Ekko in the first place.

Fizz

Extreme

Zoe can absolutely do nothing against Fizz, especially if it's a GOOD Fizz player. He can just dodge your sleep and eat you for breakfast. Try to abuse him level 1 and play passively in lane.

Galio

Major

Galio can demolish Zoe in lane due to his tankyness and high damage. Be careful when he tries to poke you and if he tries to go all-in on you. Abuse your range and try to poke him as hard as you can!

Gangplank

Extreme

GP can just use his Q to poke you out of lane and eat his oranges when you put your E on him. Try to go for trades when he tries you shoot you, and be ready to hit his barrels.

Heimerdinger

Extreme

Heimer is a total lane bully against Zoe and easily takes over lane thanks to his turrets. Try to hit his turrets whenever you can and damage him when he tries to stun you!

Irelia

Extreme

Zoe gets DESTROYED by Irelia. At this point, just ban her. If you play against her in lane, rush Zhonya's and play passively. Try to cast E when she tries to go in and kill you and run!

Katarina

Major

A good Kata player can easily destroy Zoe especially if Zoe is reckless. Try to time your E when she blinks to you and poke her. Stay away from her as humanly possible and try to chip her away!

Kassadin

Major

Kassadin may not be threatening pre-6, but you absolutely have to be careful once he gets to level 6 and as the game goes on. He can easily get to you with his R and kill you with the blink of an eye.

LeBlanc

Extreme

Leblanc is the ultimate Zoe counter since she can just cast W on you nonstop, root you with her E and kill you no sweat. Try to poke her when she goes in and time your E when she casts her W (even though it is VERY difficult). Ban her!

Lissandra

Even

Zoe outranges Lissandra, but Liss can easily lock Zoe down! Use your range and your E to your advantage and put her to sleep when she tries to go in. Zoe can easily demolish Lissandra if she's wary enough.

Lux

Minor

While Lux outranges Zoe in lane, a good Zoe can dodge Lux's spells easily and take advantage of Lux's predictability. However, you must be cautious as well since Lux can do the same thing towards you.

Malzahar

Minor

Be careful of his space aids and try to auto his spell shield to get it off. Aside from that, you can easily demolish him in lane as long as you're careful.

Mordekaiser

Major

Morde can easily outdamage Zoe in lane. Try to poke him when you can and be careful if he tries to pull you towards him. This is also the best time to rush Morello after Luden's.

Neeko

Minor

Zoe can easily deal with Neeko since she has far superior range than Neeko does. Just be careful of her root and you'll be fine!

Orianna

Tiny

Zoe can easily dodge Orianna's spells and damage her till she dies. Just be wary of where her ball is positioned and you should be fine.

Pantheon

Extreme

Pantheon can easily lock you down with his W and poke you out of lane. Try to play passively against him and don't give him the opportunity to harass you.

Qiyana

Extreme

Same goes for any assassin, be very careful in lane and try to look for an opportunity to cast your E on them when they try to go in on you. And one thing, RESPECT QIYANA'S RANGE!!! Be also very careful to not get close to walls since she will use that to her advantage.

Ryze

Even

Zoe can easily outrange Ryze and abuse him in lane. However you still must be careful since he can dish out serious damage as the game goes long and Ryze can definitely roam faster than Zoe does. Again, communication is key when playing against Ryze!

Seraphine

Tiny

Seraphine is a very easy match-up against Zoe since she's slow and her spells can be easily dodged.

Sylas

Major

Be careful of Sylas in general since you're pretty much dead when he catches you with his E. Try to rush Morello after Luden's since his W heals him for a lot for some reason (rito nerf him xx).

Syndra

Even

Syndra will try to poke you out of lane, but if you dodge enough you can easily hit her with your skills and kill her. Be careful though!

Talon

Even

Zoe goes even with Talon. She can easily cast E to Talon when he tries to go in and burst him. However, Talon can do the same to you so you must still be careful when playing against him.

Teemo

Tiny

Zoe completely demolishes Teemo in lane. You only need to be wary of his mushrooms and that's about it.

Twisted Fate

Minor

Zoe outranges TF easily and abuse him in lane. However, TF can roam pretty much anywhere and way quicker than Zoe can. Try to communicate with allies and ping!

Veigar

Minor

Zoe outranges Veigar but be careful when he casts his E on you, once you're stunned he can easily burst you as you do to him.

Vel'Koz

Major

A good Vel'koz player can easily outrange Zoe and poke her out of lane. Take advantage of his slow movement and do your thing! Be very careful of where you are since once you're caught in his E he can burst you to high heaven.

Vex

Even

Zoe and Vex go even with each other. Just be careful when Vex casts her R and you'll be fine as long as you dodge her spells!

Viktor

Even

Viktor can poke Zoe easily due to his Q and E, but Zoe can use this to her advantage and hit Viktor back. As long as you keep moving and dodge Viktor's spells you should be fine.

Xerath

Even

Xerath has way more range than Zoe, but can also be easily hit with Zoe's spells. Try to dodge his spells and you should be fine against him.

Yasuo

Extreme

BAN. THIS. BITCH. Yasuo definitely invalidates Zoe as a champion. Try to hit his shield whenever you can and play passively. Look for an opportunity when he dashes towards you and put him to sleep. Lastly, try to bait out his windwall!

Yone

Extreme

While he is "easier" to deal with than his infinitely bitchier brother, that doesn't mean Yone is less bitchier because he is a bitch to deal with all the same. Be careful when he tries to go in on you and cast your E on him when he gets out of his Soul Unbound.

Zed

Even

A good Zoe can easily go toe-to-toe with Zed. Predict when he'll try to poke you and cast your E behind you when he uses his ult. You can easily demolish Zed if you're smart enough!
