where better to get bronze theories than from a bronze player.
One of my first mains was Tryndamere before I at all understood the game. Now I sit in my chair describing the weirdest semi-viable low elo Trynd build I've ever seen so... Welcome to Ability Power Tryndamere.
His E: Spinning Slash is best known for Engaging, Running away, Or when fed just being able to Beyblade his way into diving your just respawning team under the fountain beam. Either way the ability deals 80 scaling to 200 base damage + 80% of your ability power or +130% of your attack damage.
this scaling seems low at face value but when you realize most AP items give 70-80 AP while most AD items give 40-60 AD this rounds out to full build having about 600-700 damage on your Spin no matter which path you take.
His Q: Bloodlust consumes all of his gained fury healing him for 0 scaling to 70 + 30% of his AP + 0.5 scaling to 2.3 + 1.2% AP per fury consumed meaning the max hp he can heal up using Q in this build is 1,279 and with his full AP build having 2943 HP he essentially can go from 50% HP to full in a 1v1 or even a 1v2 in addition to the fact he can do this coming out of his ult for an extra 1279 HP.
Riftmaker gives you passive omnivamp & ability power as a mythic instead of the added ability haste that Night Harvester provides.
if you know a game will go much later then Riftmaker will provide you sustain in early fights and late game adds 32 AP on top of the 80 AP riftmaker gives rather than Night Harvester giving only 90 AP on buy.
while games that will last shorter it might be better for the night harvesters Ability haste
Rylai's Crystal Scepter - Get this if you are having a hard time sticking to enemy champions.
Banshee's Veil - Good if you need the spell shield or extra magic resistance
Morellonomicon - Heavy Healing Enemies (Aatrox, Olaf champs like that)
Zhonya's Hourglass - Ironically one of the weaker item choices here but Zhonya's isn't ever a bad option, while you don't provide damage while in it's stasis, having the stopwatch at most times can help out if you get bursted down a lot.
Rabadon's Deathcap - Is an item that can give a lot of AP at 120 while also increasing your AP by 35%
Cosmic Drive - Do you have long cooldowns... ever wish you could Beyblade even more? well with Cosmic Drive giving Ability Haste AND Movement speed, you can Beyblade next to an enemy champion and run at them faster than they can say "HOLY SH-"
Demonic Embrace - Vs tankier champs with the % Max HP burn it deals on a spin you can be affecting all of them with the burn on top of giving you anywhere from 10 to 22.5 EXTRA magic resist and armor.
while the stats on AP Trynd seem alright it isn't as reliable as AD Trynd, when running AD Trynd getting fed scales so significantly more than AP it's not even funny. Scaling crit chance, faster attack speed and being able to crush tanks with ease using Kraken Slayer and Infinity Edge boosting crit damage and the extra true damage compared to the better sustain in 1v1's AP gives.
and with the new AD split pushing item Hullbreaker, AD Trynd might just get the upper hand when it comes to playstyles as well
all in all AD = higher auto damage and AP = more healing and sustain
