Thresh's hooks are devestating since a hook can mean a kill a lot of the time, and since Bard leaves for chimes, Thresh can be very aggressive to get the adc.

Caitlyn has the most base range in the game, and therefore she can poke the opponents, while you keep them at range. Her traps are also easy to set, since you can use R, so she has 2.5 seconds to place them, and since you stun them with Q after, you also damage them a lot.
