Champion Build Guide
Welcome to Aftershock Lux
My name is Nunus Blueballs, I'm a platinum support main. I play mostly Lux, Naut, Velkoz. I topped out at P1 and fell some but hoping to climb to diamond. I didn't see a good guide for this style of Lux. This is the meta build for her right now.

Why aftershock?
If you can land binds, you get super tanky. People will attack you thinking you are an easy target but you are the unkillable. Also the other Resolve options are great for a support Lux. Unlike most builds that go shieldbash, I go font of life. It is better late game and your E procs it via slow. After lots of testing this is better for teamfighting in my opinion.
Why not straight damage?
First off, most ADCs hate having a mage that goes straight damage. Your goal is to get the ADC fed, not yourself. Rushing Athene's gives you monstrous heals that are very useful in lane. It's easy to charge it up with your E and it's easy to keep your team alive with your W. They will appreciate you for it. You lose some poke but usually there are damage champs elsewhere.
Then you get the Ardent Censer in most matchups which gives your team a ton of extra damage and healing. It also gives you more shielding power. Athene's grants you AP scaling based on your mana regeneration so you get a lot of free AP for having both of these items.
After those two you are free to get more AP. You want the fattest shields possible. You should be shielding for about 1/2 your squishies healthbars in teamfights midgame. It is truly busted. You are also healing them, and peeling with your Q which snares dives really well.

Techniques
In lower elo it might be possible to just land blind Qs and obliterate your enemy. Once you get to high gold/ plat most people are going to be able to dodge it most of the time. I will assume you know how to weave autos with Lux passive, here are some other tips.
You don't have to engage with Q, you can actually use e and then snag an easy q off of the E slow. Most people go Q E R but you can go E Q R and have better luck landing the bind.
Clearing vision is very important, no one is going to dodge a Q that they can't see coming. Use this to your advantage and roam mid/ invade jg with your jungler when you can.
Save Q in lane if you have someone who can help you land it easily. For example, with Jhin, you land E, he lands W, you land Q, you kill carry.
Don't be afraid to tank some damage for your carry if they all in you. BUT you absolutely have to land your Q to become invincible or you will die. If you land a q you can face tank a Lucian ult, etc while the aftershock proc is up. In the end, it's better if you die than the ADC anyways.
Position yourself very far back, like so far back that it's pretty much impossible to die without a flank. You have lots of poke range in the first place, but you can save Q to peel your adc in teamfights and your team will appreciate the fat W shields with Ardent Censer and Athene's healing. Most of the time you will have time to walk in range to follow up with your poke anyways. Abuse the amazing range you have.
Control vision but keep in mind that if your lanes don't have prio or your jungler is losing that it's kind of dangerous to walk up to a bush to ward without your team. If you can't ward without dying then don't do it. Get farsight and use that until you can get some pressure.

Other item options?
After your core you always have the option to get more support items like redemption, etc. The thing is you probably actually just want more AP so you can shield better. I haven't experimented with redemption or mikaels much.
