Need update

For the Renekton Matchup part. Renekton's Dominus is not a heal. It's considered an increased Max Health buff for the entire duration, so ignite doesn't do anything to mitigate the health he gains from it aside from what ignite normally does which is the DoT. Same for Nasus.

Vlad is free right now and this helps get the idea of how to play him, I believe Malzahar is missing from your matchups though FYI. I'm considering buying him once I get the IP because he seems like a pretty good champ in terms of balance and I am not great at CS and his Q might be a cure for that :)

During lane, fiddle can literally just fear vlad and then drain him through pool. It's a pretty rough match up albeit infrequent

I agree with HalcyonicHS that Fiddle is relatively easier than 9; Vlad simply out-sustains Fiddle. Maybe difficulty 5-7 at most?

Thanks for your advice for the 10-difficulty ones though - I took it seriously when you wrote something like 'always winning at lvl 1', which made me take the offensive and win the lane. Transfusion harass/zone is no joke - if they bring your health down, you can simply transfuse from creeps for ~30s then resume harass.

What is your opinion on running flash and ghost on vlad?

Great guide but from one Vlad main to another I disagree with 1 point:

Everyone keeps rating Darius as one of the hardest matchups for vlad. I strongly disagree up to a point where I'm confident to say VLAD COUNTERS DARIUS! As long as you start with boots and 4 potions, you can poke darius to death, your transfusion range is longer than his apprehend and you can easily dodge his decimate by keeping up your range and the boots start. There is literally no way darius can even damage you if you play right. Post level 6 is still no problem since you will push darius out of lane hard and there is no way darius can stack 5 hits on you...

Your guide gives a lot of info on when I should pick Vlad (as I don't main champions often I keep a lot of them practiced and at high level of understanding for counterpicks) and a lot of background on how you should play. I do have a question, do full scaling cdr glyphs + blues (for 30% + WoTA for 40%) work for Vladimir? I think they could do well in basically eliminating the need for CDR boots and Spirit Visage (2 items I feel are inferior)? Overall thanks for the guide!

A few questions:

#1. Tryndamere is listed as "easy". His sustain, along with spin, crits, slow and ult all point to being a massive counter for Vlad, who can't do much but pool and run away if Tryn decides to smack your face.

#2. Fiddle is listed as a 9, but I have had little trouble with Fiddle cept bush ults due to the range difference in Qs. What in your opinion makes it so difficult to kite him?

#3. What is your opinion on 18/12 masteries, considering how deathfire massively outdamages thunderlord?

#4. I've personally been using 6* scaling CDR since the CDR isn't as valuable early. Your opinions as to this?

#5. Why is it that you dislike SV, especially since it provides the CDR you seem to like so much, as well as being buffed in preseason? SV/Ionian/Wota/Runes would also provide 40% CDR perfectly and tie in well with the 12/18 masteries you seem to be encouraging.

#6. Is Zhonya as a core still worth it despite the spike in cost?

Hey so with giant changes on items and masteries, will you update the guide for preseason? I'm having a lot of success with it and it would be really nice :)

Been lovin' Vlad. My 2 cents:

Building CDR like you do gives Vlad incredible waveclear and sustain very early. However, it does not give you burst damage at all. This changes the way you fight in your lane, and makes you extra vulnerable to in-n-out counterpicks like renek and riven etc.

So when's that meat part coming? :)
