Ekko is a strong AP assasin/diver with extremely strong burst, catchup ability, and escape. He has one of the fastest jungle clears in the game and excels at punishing enemies for poor vision control. In teamfights he has one of the strongest dives with his escape ability through his ultimate, Chronobreak. His main weaknesses lie in his squishiness and lack of reliable cc. Due to his kit being focused on out bursting enemies, he does not have very much defense in his standard build. His only form of hard cc is also very difficult to land and therefore unreliable. Against teams with extremely strong late game he does very poorly due to a slight falloff in the late game. |

I recommend Dark Harvest because it helps your scaling throughout the game. It adds to your damage with every stack, and adds to your damage when bursting down low enemies. It is better than Electrocute because you can use it multiple times during fights and it scales better. | ||

Sudden Impact is a great rune to take for Ekko because of its synergy with Phase Dive. It greatly adds to your damage output when using it, and makes your burst much more effective. | ||

Eyeball Collection is your standard grab since you will become even more powerful from the kills that you generally look for in the early game. You can also take Zombie Ward if you prefer some more vision utility or you are playing in higher elo where kills will be less abundant and wards more. | ||

|
Ravenous Hunter is really good for you, making your jungle clears much healthier and your healing in fights much more effective since you will be using abilities a lot. |

I recommend Magical Footwear since you get a movement speed buff with these boots and it also gives you 300 gold, which can be the difference from winning or losing in the early/mid game. | ||

You should choose one of these two runes. Future's Market is great because you are able to hit item powerspikes much faster with the ability to go into debt. Cosmic Insight is a good alternative since it provides lots of cooldown reduction (though I recommend this mainly for people who are newer to Ekko or are less confident in their ability to get the maximum gold possible). |
