Introduction - An Unexpected Journey
Please note this guide is still being written. Some sections like the items justification section need to be rewritten. Images + videos need to be added. However I want the core to be completed before I start adding the finishing touches. I am posting this to get feedback on the general content. What people feel was done well, what needs to be added or changed. However this guide is also mostly complete + therefore it still contains information you can use.
To preface the style this guide is written in, here is a quote that sums me up pretty well: "But when he taught, his personality strode back and forth between mad prophet and galley-slave drummer".
Important Note: If you do not have the stomach to read this long guide I have highlighted the key points in each section in coloured text, so you can get the gist from just reading those bits. However if lots of text scares you then you should probably look elsewhere. As I said in the title, this is an in-depth advanced guide, written to cover Ezreal in depth, explaining the mechanics of playing Ezreal; how to ADC in lane + in team fights + all the other topics I feel are related to playing Ezreal to a high level.
Notes: I sometimes include a summary in a section to group what I feel are the core messages, to make it easier to use. To reduce clutter, I have put nearly every section in some variation of spoilers.
Who are you Arkturuz? What makes you qualified to give me advice?

Feel free to listen to this whilst reading:

"Into the fires of battle, unto the anvil of war" - First Blood
Now into the deep stuff. There are five positions in game. Each with a different difficulty curve.
In ranked the hardest rolls to play and win are ADC + support, in my/friends' opinion(s) & experience(s).
Why?
Because you both need to play together. IT IS DUO BOT.
Spoiler: Click to view
This is a real issue at bot, more so than any other lane.
I would say that 2 kills with Ezreal, over the enemy ADC will allow me to carry my lane and will require heavy support from their Jungler to manage.
Spoiler: Click to view
Bot unlike any other lane at respectable ranked level has the highest chance of first blood of any lane.
And first blood does matter.
If both ADC die to each other than there can be no dispute that first blood's extra gold defines who came off better.

Explanation:

This is a real issue at bot, more so than any other lane.
I would say that 2 kills with Ezreal, over the enemy ADC will allow me to carry my lane and will require heavy support from their Jungler to manage.
Now it is important to say now what this actually means:

Bot unlike any other lane at respectable ranked level has the highest chance of first blood of any lane.
And first blood does matter.
If both ADC die to each other than there can be no dispute that first blood's extra gold defines who came off better.

Supports & YOU:
For this section I recommend listening/watching Siv HDs speech on supports:

Who really carries bot lane?

The best way I can describe roles in bot lane is thusly:

I recommend strongly you duo queue with a support you know if you plan to ADC.
Skype helps but, a good support doesn't often need commands.
So know your support.
Why you need to know how to play support yourself to be a good ADC:

Passing comment on dynamics you should be thinking about with supports (via an example):

Farming - "It is times like these I wished I had listened to my mother. Why what did she say? I don't know I wasn't listening"
Last hitting is something I took hundreds of hours to master early game (first 20 minutes) and something somewhat difficult to remember to do mid + late game because; hey there are ooms heroes to be had right? Wrong.

After hours of thought, talking to people online, and reading advice I have come up with the following:

Vae Victis [Woe to the Vanquised] - Abilities in depth
Now onto the abilities of Ezreal.
All of Ezreal's abilities are skill shots, making a lot of his early game (basically always) + late game damage (depending on the build you go with e.g. Blue Ezreal) dependent on your ability to land them.
All I can say is that practice makes you more reliable at landing shots. Aiming where they will be, rather than where they are, when trying to make a skill shot from its max range, is probably the best advice I can give you, in terms of improving your accuracy. Another tip would be to aiming your abilities (when farming) so that if you miss the champion, it will hit a minion, giving you a last hit, so that even missed harassment shots are not wasted mana.
Smart casting is a must on Ezreal for Q, W, E, + R. Because if you get that attack off first you will kill them first.
For those who do not know what smart casting is (ignore this section, if you read smartcasting info covered earlier):

The only abilities worth talking about in advanced depth for now are your w and r, although for newcomers I have also included information on your Q + E. The fact your q applies on hit effects, as well as reduces the cooldown of all other abilities (spam q when farming late game to reduce your r's cooldown by up to 16 seconds) will link in later to why Frozen Gauntlet is the S3's trinity force for ADCs.
