Good explanation for new players, +1. Although title can be a bit misleading since orb-walking and attack-moving are basically the same thing.

They aren't, many people like myself use attack move simply as another command for auto-attacking, orb-walking is an entirely different thing for which there is no button.

Attack move is very useful for orb walking but they're not the same thing at all.

I completely understand the difference between doing it with right-clicks and doing it with the "attack nearest target" keyboard command, but my point was that using two terms for the same mechanic of moving while the autoattack reloads sounded pretty confusing. For example "orb walking" is an old dota 1 term for manually activating modified autoattacks on an enemy champion (eg pressing Q on the champion, moving, pressing Q on him again etc). So the original 'orbwalking' is actually closer to doing it with the keyboard attack command than to right clicking...
I mean, meybe that's just a confusion between dota terms and league terms :)

That's only the definition of orb walking (and kiting if directed away from enemies), not attack move. I literally don't right click at all for auto-attacks, I use it for moving and I use exclusively attack move (T) for auto-attacking.

Orb-walking can be done with any auto-attack command and attack move is one of said auto-attack commands. They can be related but to say they're the same thing is straight up wrong, I'm not orb-walking when I use attack move to last-hit a minion.

So the title isn't misleading. because it implies that the guide teaches you to orb-walk, and also teaches you to use attack move to orb-walk more effectively. The two terms don't go hand in hand.

The problem is that "attack moving" can also mean "moving between autoattacks" not "using the attack move keyboard command". In fact that's how that term is used in dota. I think that's where the confusion came from.

Fair enough, I didn't know DotA also uses the term. In League though it just exclusively refers to the command.

Kinda funny how League steals terms from DotA but repurposes them, both orb-walking and I guess attack moving are terms that come from DotA but for some reason they have a completely different meaning here.

Nice and much needed guide, although you could add some BBCode and change to new builder style, this guide contains solid information for new players. As @ jhoijhoi stated, you could transfer this guide to the wiki section for future reference whenever needed. Good work!

Solid explanation! I wonder if you'd be willing to add some of this information to the wiki article, or even making a new one for orb-walking specifically?
