I have this rune build because it's the best possible for my guide. If people want to change runes they don't need to follow my build. they can do their own.
Trinity Force is a great late game item. Off course it will be tough to get it but it will only be possible to build if the game lasts more than an hour. It's great because of the extra mana the slow and off course the extra movement speed. You won't need to farm to get trinity force. In my 11-5-20 game I had everything except trinity force I needed maybe 2k more to afford it. And that game ended at 55 minutes. So it will take some time but why not go for Trinity Force when you have a solid tank build with Threads, Nature, Heart and Warmog's?
The question is how much do you auto attack? I auto attack all the time. The thing is that if you don't get a damage item late game it will be possible just to ignore you. Yes you will CC but your stun is 1.25 second long. And a team fight lasts maybe 10-15 seconds if you only can take one hero out for 2,5-3 seconds that won't be enough. But if you do damage, they won't ignore you and they will have to run from you or they will get killed. This will separate them from team fight rendering them useless for maybe 3 extra seconds. Because when they run the can't attack. And when you see them run, you just jump back into the team fight ignoring them. Then they will have a bad position to help in the team fight, because the ran away from it. This will also make the other team waste CCs on you to help their squishies escape. That's why Atma's is a great item.
True but your math ain't to good either haha. The strike will be at 287 damage not 212 (109 Base damage at 18 + 68 extra damage from Atma's + 100% base damage sheen). Either I was tired when I wrote that or I calculated with Trinity instead of Sheen.
True, but they will still hesitate and that's never good. And you don't need the extra health or magic resist you will be tough enough. If you have all tank items that I recommend and use your shield your MR will be about 200. If you have Banshee's Veil to then it will be 250 then how much will Banshee's Veil contribute to the total Damage reduction? It will give you 4.8% more damage reduction to get this into perspective when need to ask our self how much does Force of Nature contribute to the total damage reduction when you go from 125 MR to 201 MR. It will give you 11% more damage reduction. To pay 2700 for 4.8% is just to much. If you want a more tanky build than buy another Warmog's it cost 300 more and is at least twice as good as a banshee's because you don't need banshee's passive because you have tenacity if someone stuns you and Zenith Blade and flash if you are slowed.
I don't have Word so I can't spell check it so I had to read through it 5-6 times but I know that I haven't seen all the mistakes. Been to focus on the guide instead of the spelling.
Ryze can't burst enough at level 2-5 same with Lux and that equals no kills which equals no money. And both of them are cooldown and mana dependent. And they don't have a stun they have snare. And they don't need feed because both of them has good farming abilities. That's why I choose my laning partners over lux and ryze any day of the week.
Thank you for the compliment
Runes - You might want to add an some alternates, seems to me that and early game rapist like Garen, Xin, or Fiddlesticks could wreck you without some form of resistance, especially if you don't get Eclipse until level 3.
Item Sequencing - Building Trinity Force at the end of the game seems to me like it would be nearly impossible. You're not going to be able to just sit in the lane and farm up the gold, you're going to be needed for team fights, Baron, and pushing. And since you ARE a tank, I doubt you will be getting enough kills in team fights (I'm sure you'll get plenty of assists) to pay for a Trinity Force.
Atma's Impaler - I don't know how much you actually auto-attack with Leona, but seems like somewhat of a waste to me in most situations. Is it just so Shield of Daybreak has a bit of punch to it?
Mathematics involving Sheen - Sheen is not a multiplier off of your total Attack Damage, just your base. So the Sheen hit at level 18 for Leona would be 212, not 400.
Banshee's Veil - I think if Leona is played well (running around and CC-ing everyone in sight) the enemy team with have to CC you at some point, or else their ranged carry won't be doing anything to whole fight. Plus it does also give some health and MR.
Remarks about the guide - I think you might want to just briefly post each section into Microsoft Word or something, just so you can get a little of the grammar and spelling mistakes cleaned up. Not a huge deal, just might as well have your guide look the best it can.
I do like your suggested laning partners section, although I think a few more AP characters could be added like Ryze and Lux (both have snares, Ryze is spammy like hell and Lux's passive synergizes great with your own).
Looks like a solid tanky build though. Good job
Thumbs up! :D
