Introduction

This is my work in progress guide for Lucian, The Purifier. This guide is in development and is subject to change at any time.

This is being updated the more I am able to play Lucian and theorycraft.

Mana Issues

First thing I have noticed is that Lucian currently has overwhelming mana issues. I've heard there is a bug that causes his Q to cost double the mana but I have not confirmed this.

Due to his mana hungry abilities blue buff is a necessary or some type of mana regen. Pots are viable, I have found that a Spirit Stone in the lane phase will help as well.

The Spirit Stone can be built into Spirit of the Elder Lizard for a nice burn as you likely will be foregoing ignite for barrier.

Another route you could take is building mana instead of regen. A Tear of the Goddess and turning that into a Manamune could work as well in tandem with blue buff.

Blue build Lucian? Lol.

Lane phase

During the lane phase Lucian is at a bit of a disadvantage early game. As most of his abilities do scale off of both AD and AP he does not get the raw bonus of AD stacking like any other ADC. This means his main focus is his basic attacks and double tap after using an ability.

Rushing a Blade of the Ruined King, Berserker's Greaves, and Static Shiv are essential to his lane phase.

Late Game

Lucian scales well during the late game. Once you have your core BotRK, Static Shiv, Berserker's Greaves, you can then movie on in a multitude of different directions based on what the enemy team composition is.

The common build I have found will focus on Critical and forego the typical stack Lifesteal and AD that most auto attack champions do. Meaning building an Infinity Edge coming out of lane phase.

Play Style

Everyone's play style is different.

I like ADC champs that use abilities in tandem with their auto attacks to deal massive damage. While I have found that Lucian is a CritCarry, its always fun to toss in that hybrid item so his abilites will scale a bit more.
