Jax

The only way to beat Jax 1v1 is to dodge his E stun with your Q. To do so, Q onto minions since your untargetability lasts longer when you Q a minion wave.

Aatrox

Should be an easy win unless he pokes you down with Q's before the all-in. Try to mitigate his poke and Q his third Q as it is his main damage source.

Cho'Gath

Cho'gath cannot beat Yi on his own at any point of the game, but he can be a hindrance during teamfights as he can ult you and silence you.

Darius

Darius is not a threat at any point of the game unless you get hit by his Q. Simply dodge his Q with your Q and one shot him.

Dr. Mundo

Dr. Mundo can be a threat if he pokes you down before an all-in, but tanks have no kill threat against Master Yi.

Fiora

Fiora is one of the few champs that can outscale Master Yi in an 1v1 so try to win at level 1 or 2 if she over commits into your minion wave or at your level 6 powerspike. This matchup is extremely snowbally so try not to fall behind.

Gangplank

Gangplank has unavoidable poke in the laning phase but he is beatable if take ghost and run him down in the early levels. Past level 6 he should not be much of a threat either.

Irelia

Irelia loses to Yi at every stage of the game unless she has 4 stacks already. She stands no chance after 2 items though.

Jayce

Jayce has disengage tools, strong burst and poke. The way to win this lane is to W his poke and only try to all in him after 6 by running up and baiting out his push-back. From there, you can Q onto him and kill him.

Kayle

Kayle is no match for Yi 1v1, however her ult can prevent Yi from getting a reset in team fights and since Yi does not have escape tools, you are probably dead.

Kled

He win pre-6, but you win post-6.

Malphite

Malphite's laning phase is painful for Yi if he goes the comet rune page, although he never wins an all-in with Yi. Be careful of his ultimate mid-late game as it is extremely fast. However, if you have quick reactions, you can Q him in his ult to avoid the CC.

Mordekaiser

Mordekaiser loses to Yi at all stages of the game as you can Q dodge his Q and kite him around his ult. If you have 2 items, you can even beat him in his ult.

Nasus

Nasus is incredibly useless vs Yi. He does not outscale Yi 1v1 until 1500+ stacks and he is way weaker early game. Simply zone him off minions and make him as useless as possible.

Renekton

Renekton has all the tools to ruin Yi's day; a strong early game, great trading tools, good sustain, high burst, and point-click CC. I recommend you dodge this matchup, or just AFK farm until 2 items and then win the 1v1.

Riven

A good riven will beat Yi throughout the early-mid game by layering her CC. To beat Riven you have to Q her Q3 and W her ult damage. Yi also beats Riven level 1 with ignite.

Sett

He beats you pre-6, but after one item and level 6 you easily win by saving your Q for his W damage.

Shen

He is stronger than Yi in the early laning phase and his W renders Yi useless in teamfights. However, you win post-6 and if he ults to another lane, you can get fed by taking tower plates.

Singed

He has no kill potential on Yi, however, he can flip you into the enemy team late game which can lead to deaths.

Ornn

Ornn can only kill you pre-6 if you eat too much poke, but generally he does not deal enough damage and all of his CC is easy to dodge.

Sion

Early laning phase is risky since his passive can kill you easily with the lethality build. Generally you want to fight post 6 so you can run away from his passive. You can also Q dodge his Ult and Q or Q onto him while he tries to escape with his Ult. However one Q from a bush will heavily chunk you, so try to all-in him and avoid trades. The tank build is pretty useless vs Yi.

Tahm Kench

Laning vs Teemo is hell and his blind will render Yi useless in fights. The only counterplay to Teemo is to try to Q his blind dart, which is a somewhat tough timing or to buy a QSS.
