I suggest you pick Miss Fortune only if you are confident that your top or your jungle is going AP , if not the game will still be hard.

With the new "love tap" passive, Miss fortune can easily abuse any champion at level 1 in the mid lane . Once your opponent positions like a fool , punish him with your Q, it can easily deal around 200 damage at level 1.(Once your opponent stands behind a minion that can be killed with 1 Q that is, since Q's damage is enhance if it kills the first unit).
Also , you need to rotate targets in between each AA for Miss Fortune to reveal her true potential of farming .

Miss Fortune has the ability to roam to other lanes for ganks or counter-ganks with her W so i wouldn't suggest taking teleport since it recently got nerfed.

You can use your E + Youmuu combo to either chase or escape from an enemy.

In Teamfights , all you have to do with Miss Fortune is to find a good position to ulti so you shred their armor away with black cleaver , if any enemy is onto you during the teamfight , use W + E + Youmuu so you can kite the **** out of him , of course , use your Q in between 2 AA or whenever it comes up .
