You don't need Clarity if you're going to be getting an Archangel's Staff, and Orianna doesn't need the extra AP early game from flat runes for AP. If you do decide to give her extra AP from runes, you minus well just use per level runes for extra AP late game instead.
The clarity is needed if you are to play like I explain in the guide, which is aggressive. Wearing their health down so your lane can eventually draw first blood. You're going to be running out of mana constantly until your tear is charged so I'd say clarity is very much needed up until mid game.
I said in the build that you can substitute the AP glyphs for CD or w/e fits your fancy...they're not THAT important.I believe I said that twice in the guide. I prefer going with AP runes for more damage in the laning phase, and wiping out minion waves at level 4 or 5.
Scaling AP runes are useless since by late game you're already going to have a lot of AP built. They wont make a difference at all like early game AP will.
Fix your item order. YOu deflinitely don't want to get Rylai's first, and you want merc. treads or mobility, not swiftness.
I don't know why you would possibly need merc. threads unless the team is the team just have a ton of CC. Orianna has great range and you shouldn't be the last one getting captured by CC on your team. Boots of Mobility is overkill since Boots of Swift+your W gives you ridiculous movement speed, and since mana isn't a problem you can just spam it freely. The movement speed on Boots of Swift is also more consistent than Boots of Mobility. You don't need the extra out of battle movement speed, because that's not even a problem for you.
EDIT: Err, just looked and saw that you have a build. "No, you're an idiot. This is how you build her.". Sounds like any build that isn't yours just doesn't work, and you're downvoting with that mentality only. -_- A shame.
well, in my opinion orianna should be build with more ap. and this didn't work out all that well for me, because of that reason.
Well...I did say it red bolded letters that this guide is to play her as "Burst-Support"...not all out AP. Don't know why you would try it when it's not meant to be a glass cannon build, and that's what you're looking for. I even have options that'll give her 700AP+ and tons of health if you read the alternative items.
But to each their own...can't stop the down vote. No matter how unwarranted they may seem.
:3 To the thumbs up, glad you enjoyed!
