Morgana
Morgana's spell block shield disables Zoe's sleepy bubble, which has a long cooldown, ruining the most crucial part of Zoe support
Jinx
The best ADC for Zoe is one who can follow-up with a high-damage attack or CC on Zoe's sleepy bubble.

Champion Build Guide
My name is Toothy Amoeba and I started playing this year in 2019. That being said, at this exact moment I've played Zoe 1,119 games and currently have 780,969 mastery points. I haven't played much of ranked to show my skill yet because my client likes to crash.
The reason I started playing this game is because I saw my friend playing Zoe and I just fell completely in love with everything about her.I bought and started practicing Zoe on my second day, unfortunately becoming one trick for months. I was absolutely awful at first but now I typically hold a 60% - 80% win-rate in all lanes with Zoe.
It's been a lot of fun and so rewarding to learn this champion, I hope you find the same joy as me! Good luck and have fun!! <3<3
- Decent ally healing potential
- Unique mobility
- Extremely versatile
- Difficult to counter
- Skill shot dependent
- Inconsistent abilities
- Hard to learn, hard to master
- Ultimate does no damage
Ghost - This is a safe choice when you want to roam between lanes a bit as well as having a quicker return to lane if needed.
Ignite - A decent choice if you think poking will be tough. I'd use Electrocute since it counts as a use of a damaging ability
Exhaust - This is best saved for going against tanks or high physical damage champions since it both slows and reduces their damage.
Sorcery
Aery
- This so far my favorite rune for Zoe support. It's very helpful with poking and it lowers the amount of extra damage Zoe typically puts out which will prevent kill steals.Manaflow band - You'll be using your abilities more than usual so this extra mana is really helpful
Transcendence - Again, being that you'll be using more abilities having decent CDR as soon as possible is very helpful since E((Sleepy Trouble Bubble) - have a relatively high cooldown.
Gathering Storm - Substitute for AP items
Domination
Electrocute
- his is a very good alternative to Aery if aggressive style support is your preferred way of playing. Its most beneficial early game as is adds a pretty decent amount of damage. If used right, Zoe alone could get an enemy to half health with a level 2 burst.- Taste of Blood vs Sudden Impact - What you're deciding here is whether you need help with sustain, (Tob is your best option. If your ADC doesn't put out enough damage, use Sudden Impact.
- Eyeball Collection vs Ghost Poro - If you are confident in the match use EC. When its hard to tell or you want to play safe, use GP.
- Ingenious Hunter vs Ravenous Hunter - IH is amazing for active items but if you won't be using many active items use Ravenous Hunter instead!
Everfrost
The best first item for Zoe has by far been this item. It gives AP, a huge amount of mana, 20% cooldown, and extra cc with a pretty short cooldown.
Luden's Tempest
Alternative first item choice. I'll take the [lost chapter]Lost Chapter and make it this item if I notice we're losing lane or my ADC isn't doing enough damage.BOOTS

Rabadon's Deathcap - It may be a shocking 3rd pick, but a Zoe support is going to rely on doing a lot of damage to champions to get their health low. It's also helpful for when you are alone.
Redemption - Pretty standard for a support. Having this item usually allows Zoe to provide quite a bit of consistent healing due to the Redemption and Heal shards that drop while it's on cooldown.
Twin Shadows - Very helpful to either catch the enemy, prevent them from attacking an ally, or simply just as CC during a fight. It also grants an increase in movement speed(very helpful in bot lane) and AP.
*First, as a support you will do significantly less damage than you would when taking cs throughout the whole game so don't overestimate her power and go all in.
*Second, a significant reduction in damage for Zoe still means she does more damage than most supports, so you need to learn restraint. Remember, our job is to get the ADC fed, not ourselves.
*Third, there are going to be a lot more spell shards dropped in botlane but remind yourself that it is not essential you get them. They aren't worth dying for.
*Lastly, Zoe support can be vastly more difficult than midlane. Any spells you cast all benefit you, but as a support you have to find ways for them all to benefit your adc as well which for some spells, it can be really tough, but we'll go over some of those later.
The key to successfully playing Zoe in any lane, however, is adaptability. There are over 40 spells and active items that Zoe can collect essentially meaning Zoe has over 45 different abilities.
A good Zoe support will see a shard and immediately know how they can use the shard to protect their ADC, debuff the enemy, or set up a kill. Even midlane Zoe players may struggle with this because every shard in midlane is used for your own gain.
