This matchup is kinda painful. Use Doran's Shield and maybe Second Wind if you feel it is needed. You cannot charge up your hook while she has charm ready. Her ult is also really bad as she can dodge Q, E and R by using it and turn when you miss them. Try to call your jungler to gank and get rid of her ult or try to bait her charm. After that, it's a free kill. Careful of roaming though, her wave clear is very good so you might lose a lot of cs.
Akali
PERMA BAN. This is an impossible matchup unless you have a really good jungler and boneplating, it might be manageable. Build Hexdrinker early and roam a lot, you might a have chance.
Anivia
Her ult is kinda annoying and her poke is good, use Second Wind and Doran's Shield. Ulting to get rid of her passive is sometimes a good move because you get in range to auto her and you can move her egg with Q. Just make sure to close the game before she scales too hard.
Annie
Did you want to play the game? Well, now you can't. Her stun and shield is really bad for you. If she has ult and stun up, farm with ranged Q. Try to roam as she will not get there in time to stop you. An early Hexdrinker or Nullifying Orb can help you a lot as well.
Aurelion Sol
Who even is this guy? Just dodge his Q and hook him. His hitbox is pretty big and he has no way to stop you other than Q (Which is easy to dodge) and R. Careful for his roam pressure though.
Azir
His poke is annoying and that's it. He scales harder but you can still kill him once he uses E. Use Second Wind and Doran's Shield is good. Roaming is really good in this matchup as his E stops you from killing him most of the time but he can never kill you. Help your team get ahead.
Brand
This is the same as Azir, good poke but Brand actually has kill pressure. If you dodge his Q you can kill him most of the time but be cautious. Brand can intsa kill you if you don't play it right. Just take an early Hexdrinker to counteract this.
Cassiopeia
High poke and can kite you can ground you. Play safe and wait for ganks or until she uses W. She can be killed easily then.
Don't R or E close to her in teamfights, she may ground you and leave you open to attacks.
Corki
This champ is useless currently. Just try to not get poked out and all in level 1, 2 and 6. Roaming is also good as he cannot stop you in any way unless he has package.
Diana
This is hard but can be done. Be very careful, as autoing her doesn't even out trades due to her passive. Her ult also hurts a lot but if you save your E for that, you are basically in the clear. If you don't hold E, she can R you as you use E and leave you as a sitting duck. Just be careful as she can one shot you quite easily.
Ekko
You have to play the matchup a lot more different than others. You should try to trade but never all in after level 6 unless you are able to stun him before he can ult. Just be careful of his roams because of his significantly better waveclear.
Fizz
He dodges everything with E and outrades with W. Don't fight, try to roam and E away when he ults. Fight him when he wastes E and doesn't have ult. Early Hexdrinker is very important, don't use Nullifying Orb, use Bone Plating.
Galio
His taunt and E mess you up hard and his Q has great poke. Galio also builds tanky items so you can't really kill him once he has items. Wait for you jungler and be careful when roaming when he has ult, you will lose everytime unless his team is almost dead already.
Garen
Cry, a lot. His Q and W means you can't walk up or deal damage. Hope for mercy and roam.
Heimerdinger
His poke is annoying but he is absolute garbage at killing you, just E from his missiles if he has no turrets and E away from his stun if he does. Use Second Wind and Doran's Shield.
Irelia
Try to bait her E and you have a window to out trade or kill her. She is very strong around your minions waves so try to not fight her around them if possible. A lot of Irelias will try to tower dive if they hit E, you can E into your minions to predict her dashing to them and kill her under turret. If she gets ahead you're screwed so avoid it at all costs.
Karthus
Just kill him XD. Get Hexdrinker, other than that this matchup is super easy
Kassadin
Punish his weak early game, fear his late. Try to close the game out quick because you're no match for him later. You can still kill him after level 6 it's just harder than usual.
Katarina
She dodges everything, has better waveclears, good roams and can get out of ganks decently. This is really hard to play against. Try to predict her jumps. If you play smart you can't kill each other so watch for her roams and try for objectives or counter gank.
LeBlanc
LeBlanc has annoying jumps and combos but is pretty squishy and you can trade well with her. Just be aware of her cooldowns and roams when fighting.
Lissandra
Her ult and W are annoying but she doesn't a lot of damage early. Try to predict her dash and don't dive her when she has ult.
Lucian
High poke and all in potential out of no where. Be very careful in this matchup. Try to get ahead from roams and ganks as much as possible. Try to trade with Lucian after he uses E or cancel his ult with your E.
Lux
High poke and pick potential. Punish her weak early game and roam. Doran's Shield and Second Wind is good for this matchup.
Malzahar
Try to get ganks. This matchup is hard because he has a lot of poke and waveclear, both Pyke is bad at. His ult stops you from popping off even if you're doing good. His shield stops a lot of burst too.
Neeko
High poke and an annoying ult. Let her waste her Q or E before going in for an easy kill. Just don't pull her into your team when she ults please....im not talking from experience trust me.
Orianna
Good poke and good late game. Punish her Q W combo and take advantage of her mobility issues.
Pantheon
Hard to play into but if you can pull him into turret, you get a free kill as his E no longer blocks turret shots. Careful of roaming due to his ult being basically global when in mid lane. Take Bone Plating.
Qiyana
Stay away from walls and careful of her roams. Other than that her combos are easily avoided by using E or punished if she uses W or E badly.
Renekton
High damage, mobility and tankiness. Cancel your early game spikes and can easily dive you. Try to get ganks and play safe. CAREFUL: WILL ONE SHOT YOU AT ANY POINT IN THE GAME.
Rumble
Second Wind, Revitalize and Doran's Shield are super good here. His burn deals half damage when you take them and he has a big hitbox and no mobility, punish it.
Ryze
Scales hard and can root you to stop early fights. Try to get ganks and roams off and push him behind to slow his scaling. Don't let him split push and be careful when you get to late game.
Seraphine
High poke and cc. Avoid her ult in teamfights and combo her in lane but save your W for afterward to get away and dodge skillshots with the MS. Her W makes it hard for you to kill her but she shouldn't kill you either.
Swain
His E is easily dodged and has no mobility. Punish him for wasting E and play a bit safer when he has R up.
Sylas
His E can destroy your gameplan , He dodges out of E, cc you and W out of ult. Don't give him free kills and wait for ganks or roam.
Syndra
High poke and one shot potential. Hexdrinker is a good buy. Kill her once she uses E and it's hard to get in when she has ult and you don't have Hexdrinker shield up.
Taliyah
Deals no damage if she misses her push. Be careful of her stones on the ground, if you dash you take a lot of damage. Dodge it and punish her. Careful of her late game as it can be scary but you should be fine.
Talon
Turns trading into all ins. Don't fight him if he can proc his passive and play safe and follow his roams while spam pinging to be careful.
Taric

Annoying but once she wastes her jump and R she dies. Play safe and try to not let her get a max bomb on you.
Twisted Fate
His gold card can stop your Q channel but that's about it. When he uses his W, punish it and try to follow his roams.

Very good scaling and stops early all ins with his cage. Bait it out and all in or just rush him. An early Hexdrinker is good.
Vel'Koz

Viktor
Pretty strong but you can punish his early game as he has no mobility and ****py cc. Careful of his late though, he will one shot you even if you have Hexdrinker.
Vladimir
Don't fight him when he has Q, just wait for him to use his empowered one and go in. When he has W down, spam ping to fight him, it has a long CD. Careful of his late as he can kill you and your whole team with one rotation of abilities.
Xerath
Good poke but no mobility. Bait out his E and punish him accordingly. You can pull him out of his ult to save your teammates as well.
Yasuo
If you take short trades and focus on not getting ulted, you can easily win this. Just don't get cocky and remember that his windwall blocks Q and E.
Yone
Dodge his ult and don't trade when he uses E. You will win if you do so.
Zed
Careful of his powerful W E Q combo. Insta kill him once he uses W. His R always puts him behind you so R or Q to hit him, I would suggest saving E to dodge shurikens.
Ziggs
Just kill him. He does nothing. Just don't channel Q long because he can cancel it.
Zoe
Dodge her E and careful of her Q. Punish her when she uses ult because she's very predictable when she does. An early Hexdrinker is very good.
Elise
This is a placeholder for any aggressive early jungler. Pyke gets behind fast even when the lane is even, you have to get ahead to be useful. These junglers help a lot for this.

This is another placeholder for aoe cc champs. These help a lot to set up your R and you can destroy and entire team even when you're behind.

Hello! I started playing League since s10. I occasionally stream @duhnx on Twitch or post on @duhnxmage on Tiktok. This is my first guide so so please comment about improvements and ideas that I should add to it or just to discuss Pyke as it will help me out a lot. I will try to update this as much as possible but as school exists, I sometimes just won't have time. Pyke is a very hard champion to play sometimes due to the low health and cc vulnerability. He is very rewarding when you do well though, as when he gets fed, he snowballs like crazy.
Early Game
Early game for Pyke is his best point, he deals tons of damage out of nowhere. Play for hooks on your laner into E and all HoB autos. Once you hit six, this will get them to kill range. Roam early to help your jungler at scuttle as your early game 2v2 potential is high even with a weaker jungler on your team. If you're playing against a hard lane, farm in lane with Q, try to keep the wave at your turret and focus on fighting with your jungler. It's hard to dive Pyke and you can cheese with turret as well.
Mid Game
This is where you should be fighting in skirmishes as much as possible to get as many ults off to get your team ahead. Try to pick off side laners while they're farming and go start a fight, you should win the 4v5 and you have enough MS to get across the map.
Damage starts to ramp up at this point so pay attention to items, such as who's fed or who you can't kill (Someone with armour or stopwatch/hourglass).
Late Game
You should be max build faster than other people so build reactively and select your targets. You get killed very quick here so peeling for your adc is a good decision here as they can bait the enemy team in to. You can still go for picks but they will be harder due to high damage and more grouping. You fall off hard so be careful.
