Pros
- Very fun to play and rewarding to master
- Very high mobility due to 2 dashes, r reposition and passive ms
- Extremely strong champion when ahead. You have a lot of play making room to convert that lead into a win.
- One of the best late game champions.
- Good ganks & CC for setting up ganks.
- Fast tempo jungler. This allows for good 1v9ing.
- One of the best objective control/stealing Jungle champions. The ability to W over the wall constantly, applying pressure & getting vision alonside your Q+E+Smite combo dealing 2k-3k damage makes him very hard to do objectives versus.

Con's
- Weak early game, very gold reliant to bring value since he is a carry
- Bad into tanks
- Very high skill ceiling which means you will need time to be decent at him
- Need a large amount of game knowledge to pilot Ekko to his upper limits
- Need a lot of mechanics to pilot Ekko well.
- CC/Slow/Knockback champions can really punish Ekko's kit.

In the early game you are one of the weakest junglers in the game which means you should focus on your clear and look for free kills and potential dives. Buy early dark seal because in most games you will be able to stack it since ekko is a very hard to kill champion without cc. when you hit level 6 dont upgrade your r if you feel comfortable with the champ since it catches people off guard. After your 1st item you get your 1st powerspike at this point your not considered weak anymore. Try to average at least 7 cs a game since ekko's clear is very fast. After your 3 items youre very strong and outdamage almost every champion in the game.

Your role:
your role in most games is assasin, that means your job is to find and kill the enemy carries.
Because of your w and r you are decently tanky when they are up which enables you to become the engage in some scenarios and with zhonyas potentially lockdown their team so yours can follow.

Avoid bruisers:
Avoid fighting with bruisers 1v1 even when you are ahead they are your biggest counter. Try fighting a Fiora or Aatrox 1v1 and you'll find out :D. You can easily lose your lead disrespecting them and causing you to lose the game.

E + Q:

Use E and instantly cast Q on the enemy you cancel the Q animation making it the fastest way to get your passive pro. Use it to engage on people and get a fast passive proc.


E + W:

Use E and instantly cast W aswel it cancels the W cast animation this might be handy in some situations as the malzahar matchup, when Q is on cooldown or when you expect to get cc'd or when getting chased.(you can hide the w sound too by pressing mastery emote)

W + Zhonyas

Use this if you engage or get engaged on without your r or if you dont want to use your r, it gurantees you your shield and enemies cant be in your w range because they will get stunned for whole 2.5 seconds which usually is more than enough for you to kill them.

pick ekko when your draft is mostly ad if there are 2 ap champs already i dont recommend playing ekko, against heavy cc, he strugles into shield breakers like renekton and blitz a lot since he is very vulnerable without his w shield. Ekko is really good into squishy champs that dont have many defensive tools.
