Introduction

This is a guide for playing Lee Sin in the Top Lane, I have played around 500 games on Lee Sin. Lee Sin is easily the most fun champion to play, great for solo queue and making plays.

Spells

Flash is a great summoner spell on Lee Sin it allows you to Flash + R the enemy and make sexy plays. Teleport is generally the spell I go for, it's a great split push tool and is really strong in the current meta. Ignite can be the better choice sometimes, if you want to get an early kill and try snowball the lane.

Items

Ravenous Hydra one of the best items on Lee Sin, gives you huge burst, good for wave clear and fast split pushing.
Greater Stealth Totem I normally buy this at Level 9 unless I'm really behind, it's really good when you start roaming and is cheap and cost effective.
Thornmail is great against heavy AD.
Banshee's Veil is great against heavy engage and will protect you from poke.

Team Work

Being useful in team fights is game changing for Lee Sin. Early team fights you should be looking for a good spot to use your ultimate, this could be kicking one of the carries into your team or trying to get multiple knock ups with your Dragon's Rage. Late game team fights you're pretty useless, you won't be very tanky or extremely strong so you want to protect the champions that are dealing most of the damage. Use Safeguard to protect the carries and then use Dragon's rage to peel for them. If your back line is safe then you can try kill their ADC but always keep an eye on your back line.

Unique Skills

One of the best things you can learn on Lee Sin is the 'InSec' move, where you ward jump and then kick the enemy into your team, this requires a lot of practice and low ping to pull off smoothly. Another thing you can do when you're pushed into your tower is to InSec the enemy into your tower, this should put some fear into your opponent and they will think twice about pushing you up that far.
