and i'm yet again with a UPDATED Ryze guide with NEW RYZE! (4THHHH BOYZZZZZZZZZZ)
So.. I finally decided to reupdate my guide about new Ryze because I mastered it a bit and growing up day by day.
Let's talk about his rework and what is now:
He is an APCARRY.. just forgot your "GET SHIELD, GET SUSTAIN(rip spellvamp), GET DAMAGE, GET CD PASSIVELY AND SPAM YOUR ABILITIES".
It's another champion. The concept is actually the same but now it's a completely different playstyle champion.
Before, you needed to learn the correct combo and what combo use to get the passive Arcane Mastery. Done that, you were GOD.
Now, my friends.. it's an apcarry.. he has been fixed in my opinion.. that kit was really WEIRD ROFL. new one is too imo.

but u rush manamune instead of seraph's. and u try to spam those Q as fast as possible.
After u finish to build manamune, you can buy another tear.. but a WARNING: if you have in your invetory Manamune and Archangel's Staff, when you will reach +750 tear Mana the game will update Archangel's Staff into Seraph's Embrace instead of Muramana. We don't want this. The huge early power spike from muramana is all we need.

So you can buy another tear but care that u gotta have Muramana first instead of Seraph's Embrace otherwise build won't be efficient.

so build midgame would be (22:00)

Muramana, cdr boots, roa, tear (started to stack Archangel's Staff)

New ryze can have too many play styles. mine is:

After you see the video, you can succesfully continue with the guide since the video tells you how you need to properly use new ryze.

Ryze is a extremely complex champion. How to play Ryze? Just experience the champion yourself. Only this way you can figure out what it can do and adapt yourself on his kit.

New Ryze is an APCARRY that does damage overtime (dps mage) due to his low e cd, burst damage due to his empowered Q that does 100% damage and he has also utility!:)
So NICK WHAT IS NEW RYZE PLAYSTYLE AND HOW I GET CHALLENJOUR WITH NEW RYZE??!?!??!?!?! TELL ME I'M CRYING!"!"!"!!1111

Continue the guide to get challenger (not guaranteed)

Ryze's new kit is really difficult. (I will mention also easy things)

DIFFICULT THINGS ARE:
-What combo should you use(this needs so much time to learn)
-Why you should use that combo and not another one
-Use your spell correctly without wasting abilities (for example if you have time and morgana roots a target, you won't do "E+Q" but you will do "Q+E+Q")
-Knowledge of the time needed to land skills
-Knowledge on where to stop doing your combo
-Knowledge of where to get your shield
-Kiting and autoattacking while doing spells

But don't cry my son, there are also GOOD things.

EASY THINGS:
-If you're a ryze player inside, you will shine (not guaranteed)
-SPAM ABILITIES RANDOMLY TO WIN (not guaranteed)
-GO AFK AND YOU WILL WIN (not guaranteed)

I saw people play it top, mid or even jungle.
Top is really good if played properly, can early harras really well against melee champions but I always prefer ghost instead of tp. New ryze needs ghost till the end of the life.
Mid (where I often use it) is where you can easily scale and help your team with roaming.
PUSH YOUR LANE WITH E, GET MAP CONTROL, THEN GO ROAM AND CARRY YOUR TEAM!
About ryze jng..I HATE Ryze jungle.. he has so early problems.. the only thing why he's good is his early E+W combo. He needs so many statistics and time to scale and ITEMS that jungle is really a waste imho.

Feels Good Man

His empowered Q damage is really high mid-late game (if you land Q obviosly) (Plus thunderlords it feels amazing)
Can shutdown a target with W+E+Q and get shield (if you have time can also do Q+W+E+Q)
His 2s root is really strong early-mid game since it gives you time to react and the jungler will istantly gank you
His ultimate can be really strong for reposition yourself if used properly
Abilities scale also with mana
E Cd is really low
Nice waveclear
Nice zoning
Nice roaming
Nice harrassing

Feels Bad Man

CC = DEATH (you need time to cast your abilities so crowd control are very bad)
Needs time to scale
Needs experience to play it properly(combos etc)
Needs time to learn how to use that ult
Needs OPTIMIZED ITEMIZATION (We will talk specifically of this later)

New ryze's runes are personal in my opinion.. there are Ryze players that love going for early pressure and who go for late scale.

All masteries are self-explanatory, if you wanna see mastery go up of this page and read notes to know something specifically.

Important points to discuss:
-Meditation over Merciless since Ryze needs mana, especially in early game. It helps a lot just check it out. (And tbh against squishies they won't go under 40% health since your empowered Q deletes them)
-Thunderlord's Decree over Stormraider's Surge.
Yea, i so like thunderlords on new ryze since you can WEQ and oneshot someone only with a few items and tldr. Since you have rylais, I don't think you need to overcomming with stormraiders.
Your early game pressure will be higher with thunderlords too.

lvl1: E early harrass is really good against certain champions
lvl2: W, everytime! if someone ganks you, good is perfect.. if they engage you, it's perfect. If your jungler ganks the enemy, you can Flash, Spell Flux and then 2s Rune Prison.
lvl3: Q dmg dmg dmg!
When you will get 3 points in Q, max one point E.
When you will get 5 points in Q, max 1 E and then last point in Q.

Max ult whenever possible. (If you know how to use it it's really good, just learn :) )

Flash for amazing plays and Ghost to kite well your enemies.
Sometimes you can replace your Ghost with Exhaust or Cleanse if you feel confident with them.

I actually prefer Flash with Ghost nearly ever matchup.. it gives you so much mobility and kiting ability.

I never run Teleport.
I ALWAYS RUN Flash and Ghost

You can easily lasthit using Q and E when you need to stack your Tear of the Goddess. Don't do it too much tho. Try to harrass your enemies playing with your spell flux. let IT SPREAD M8

I actually play Ryze because it's fun and it's the champ MADE UP for me.. difficult and math champion.
