I have found it to be very helpful to farm with q and ignore my other abilities until I am able to actually put someone in kill range. this is because you don't want to waste early mana on champions, and you can't really fight until you have some ap.

for outside of laning phase, teleport plays are key. getting wards all over the map is something your team will want to do, it is insane the pressure your teleport applies to each game.

ghost should be used whenever a kill is possible, since it resets you are almost always safe when it is used.

generally, don't ever do something that could result in you dying in an even trade. even though you scale, it is impossible to truly reach your potential if you lose pressure on the map, or give the enemy a chance to even out the scaling. you can bet that they will give you an opportunity to get the same plays done for free since nobody respects this build.
