Mordekaiser's early game in this build is all about ramping up fast. You’re not playing to out-trade tanks or brawl forever — you're playing to rush Attack Speed boots (Berserker’s Greaves) as fast as possible so you can proc your passive reliably in every skirmish.

The passive (Darkness Rise) deals a surprising amount of damage early on, but it needs consistent autos to stay up. Berserker’s lets you stick to enemies better and trigger your passive faster, making even short trades turn into wins if you’re careful.

You're squishier than in standard builds, so avoid extended fights against tanky bruisers early. Focus on farming safely, punishing enemies with max range Qs, and setting up level 6 all-ins with your ultimate. Once you hit 6, it’s go time — isolate anyone and melt them with autos and spell rotations.

This is where the build fully comes online.

By now you should have Riftmaker + Nashor’s Tooth, maybe even working toward Lich Bane. This combo turns your Mordekaiser into an on-hit spellcaster, where every auto hits like a truck and every Lich Bane proc is a mini nuke.

Your attack speed makes your passive nearly permanent in fights, and Riftmaker’s omnivamp helps you survive extended trades even without tank stats. You’re not just tanky — you’re slippery and deadly. You delete squishies, shred fighters, and run over anyone who can’t CC you.

Ult someone, mash their face in, and walk away with full HP.

Once you finish Lich Bane, things get disgusting. Each auto + Lich Bane proc can deal up to 600+ damage in a single hit. Combine that with high attack speed and Riftmaker’s ramping true damage, and you’ll one-combo nearly every ADC or squishy mage.

Your biggest weakness is CC and slows. Since you’re not building tanky, getting locked down can mean instant death. You need good positioning and smart ult usage. Pick your target wisely — your ult can be used to take out the most dangerous enemy or to peel someone diving your backline.

Against teams with heavy peel or mobility, consider adding Rylai’s or Demonic for utility, or even Zhonya’s if you keep getting chain CC’d. But honestly? Most games won't last that long — you'll be deleting half their team before that happens.
