This is the best Varus guide I have found yet. It really matches my type of play style and I never end a match without at least 12 kills (typically 0-1 deaths). I agree with Lagger though, it seems to work better with flat mana regen instead of scaling. Overall you have made a really good strategy guide and I think you deserve some more upvotes. Thanks for helping me out and making my Varus plays a lot better!

This is like my Mainstream build :P But i usually use runaans hurricain and phantom for the speed which is scary with varus E

I always go Ruined King into IE. It works great.

I think Varus is more strong mid/late game, rush Bloodthirster or botrk for first item is optional, if you see that you are doing well early game, but with strong late game like Tristana or Kog'Maw usually the best option is an Infinity Edge and after a Phantom Dancer, otherwise rush botrk + Infinity Edge is another good choice. The Bloodthirster is a good option for a champion strong early game like MF or Draven, and varus looks more like Tristana and Kog'Maw.

yeah i used that link to illustrate his bork rush...wits actually seems decent considering that team. although why you would need stinger idk...i'm pretty sure he just was semi trolling since he had a 0/7 taric with him in lane and his duo q partner was 3/8 as jarvan. i'm assuming bad supports caused him to lose some of those, anyways.

e is much more reliable than q, but i just feel like q does more damage if you do hit it, and if you want reliable go for a w max since that will almost always get you into lategame dealing a ton of damage.

A great Varus guide. The only things I disagree with are the scaling mregen glyphs (should be flat as mentioned in earlier comments) and maxing E first, but I understand the reasoning behind it being more reliable than Q while still having nearly as much damage. +1, sorry about all the unreasonable downvotes.

Looks like he went 4/7 the game he rushed it. High elo or not, BORK rush is pretty ****py.

I've tried both E and Q max in a good number of games and maxing Q in my experience only does slightly more damage than E. This doesn't make up for it being so much less reliable in my opinion. And yah, he's my #4 ADC at the moment.



BT also scales well with his E and especially Q, that's why this guide is maxing Q second. It's certainly a fine choice but it's far from mandatory and Varus is one of the ADCs who can pretty much go for any item (BT, BotRK, IE).



Funny thing is he actually rushed BT in one of those games. And a wit's end and a stinger for some godforsaken reason.

Idk it's up to you guys how you vote I just think some of your reasons are kinda petty/nitpicky/down to preference.
