i dont understand how he can even function top.
You put any bruiser at top lane against him and he'd lose.
AP Shaco can't do extended trades because of how squishy he is and his harass is limited by the ridiculous mana costs.
Of course if your enemy is dumb and keeps walking in boxes it'd work but otherwise no.

Exactly I don't want to sound rude but are you playing him top at level 30? or even ranked? if you are props to you for making it work

I play him as often as i can top, unless there's a hard counter up there. Honestly, i just think it's the most fun character to play. I do play him in ranked, but so far i'm still stuck in bronze. I would love to try him against higher level players, but so far no matter how hard i try i can't make it out of bronze lol. And against bruisers i just have a couple different trap locations, then i just farm with the boxes. If the enemy comes at me, either i lead him to boxes, oe he's to scared to finish because i have a trap somewhere

I don't main Shaco at all, but from what I've seen Ap shaco relies heavily on the "Bush box surprise attack?" If so (I can be greatly wrong) I can only see this trick working on unprepared players and as a one trick pony. Also your team fight presence is drastically decreased if your not in a area that is heavily trapped.
