Should players who dodge when their teammates ban their champ get hit with a dodge timer
When I come across this I dodge sometimes, but otherwise Ill just pick another champion and try my best even though it annoys me.
The worst thing is when a teammate bans another teammate's champ and that player begins to flame before the game even started.
I recentely lost a ranked game because of this. I knew I had to dodge but I didn't because of the penalty.
The guy whose champ got banned trolled us the whole game and stole my jungle camps by taking smite as well.
Getting penalised isn't fair, but without dodge penalties people would dodge a lot more.
-Getting matched vs a counterpick of your champ: dodging
-Your champ gets banned by the other team: dodging (all low-elo Yasuo & Zed mains...)
I wish I knew the solution of this problem though.

This is an issue I know quite well which is indeed highly annoying.
Riot could decide to forbid to ban automatically any champion selected within your own team ... one day
Otherwise and until then, depending the "ban rate" of your champion here is a very general tip :
A) If your champion is meta and often banned, better announce your champion / tell others "don't ban X please", you still may encounter the "own team ban" issue with unluck but chance are even higher people may ban randomly your champion anyway if you don't warn them.
B) If your champion is a pocket pick / off meta pick, better don't indicate your champion at all, probability are higher you never get ban than the other way (strangely ^^)
It is just my own experience, maybe this is not that true after reaching diamond / plat levels ...

The thing about it is also decreases creativity in the game, because people will ban champs of people who are using builds and strategies that are very successful, but they are very much unaware of.
Very true
I have played support of many jhins. Most of the time they are in horrible positioning and that is why I ban Jhin, I never ban if that is their declared champ. I always say who I am banning before I lock in. But I feel when you look up their record and their last ten games as Jhin was them feeding like crazy I don't want to play that game. So I will either choose a better support character or dodge myself, so I am ok with the timer because it is my decision to dodge because I am not good enough to carry a ****py adc who is a feedaholic.

Fair enough.

Banning my champion when hovering is legit trolling just because they got auto filled and wants me to dodge shouldn't give me a timer as a punishment and if i play the game they intentionally lose us the game and I lose lp people like this should have a punishment of sort this is happening a lot to me lately

So I pose the question: "Is it fair for people to get penalized for dodging when their teammates bans their champ?"
Your thoughts?
Edit: I accidently voted yes in the poll when I meant to vote no
