But as time went on his resolve wavered as the power inside him became harder to control. The final straw occurred with the loss of his daughter to the Void due to the actions of the Void Prophet Malzahar. Driven into madness because of the loss of his daughter, Kassadin began an endless search across Valoran in order to find a way to bring her back. In the end, his search proved a failure. That was until he heard the Void again. Although Kassadin had long ago fostered the resilience to ignore the voices and dark energies of the Void, his loss had shaken his mental resolve and will. But this time was different. The entity within the Void promised Kassadin untold power and immortality in return for 200 years of service to the Void. Most importantly however, it promised him the return of his daughter should he comply. The price was steep, but Kassadin wasted no time in accepting the entity's offer. For awhile Kassadin was able to control the new urges that came with his new abilities, but now they overcame him. His once righteous actions became twisted and left only desolation in his wake. Before one of its greatest foes, Kassadin is now one of the Void's most terrifying warriors. In Kassadin the Void has finally found its perfect Emissary of Destruction.
