SivHD just posted this on his FB:

Mobafire is viewbotting / faking viewers on Twitch TV! :(

they are botting fake viewers on their website via a TINY little embed.

*constant amount of extremely high viewers, NOBODY TYPING IN THE CHAT AT ALL.
*they are not losing viewers when they drop the stream offline to SWAP streamers
*they are not losing viewers when they enter ARAM (even me and xpeke loose to that)
*Nobody knows the guys that are streaming there, nobody.
*everyone who comes from twitch to watch is leaving instantly, yet the embed viewers is the exact same amount for HOURS - trough all that above mentioned ****

I asked mobafire for explanation, because they asked me to work with them too, they are just lying to me with stuff like this:

[12:20:27 AM] MOBAFIRE Yannis Ziakas: there are no bots, we have nothing to hide
[12:20:40 AM] Siv HD: then arent you at least curious why your chat is so ****ed up?
[12:21:08 AM] MOBAFIRE Yannis Ziakas: yea there are primetimes, NA and EU, this is neither
[12:21:28 AM] Siv HD: primetime means you get more viewers, it doesnt mean 11500 ppl behave like 80 ppl

^After this they just started to personally insult me.

"WELP, suns down, better not touch my keyboard!" ~ 11.5k people.

reddit is deleting the threads about if from all the people who are finding out.

11000/9000 ppl who are watching on their website would result in MORE than 5 ppl chatting in the span of a minute on twitch (those 5 guys were just ppl who noticed it was on TOP of twitch and went like 'wtf is dis'.) These numbers do not add up.

I get more viewers than them myself, I could care less, but this is NOT OKAY for those hundreds of people who are trying to become an honorable streamer on twitch the FAIR way, with hard work!.

Here is a little video demonstrating the amazingly entertaining streamer, and his spamming, attention-lusting audience.

You guys are my world, I believe you guys will do the right thing with this information.
Siv out.

There is also this video.

I think we need an explanation.
Thanks to jhoijhoi , TinyStar , Minho, Hogopogo , TheNamelessBard and GMD for the sigs!

It's hard to explain something to people if they're convinced that you're cheating >.>

The fact that the viewer count is high is because the stream is embedded on the front page of Mobafire and people visiting are counted as viewers. Please note that none of these viewers are bots (as SivHD suggests).

The traffic to the website is real, Mobafire has earned that over the years and has worked hard for it. Does anyone really think Twitch would allow the stream to exist if Mobafire was using bots? :S

its just weird that the player on mobafire startpage auto starts,

they had 1-2k viewers before that, were already pretty high, tbh I dont think any1 visiting mobafire even notices/watches the embedded player.

They are no bots tho, so I dunno if its allowed or not

Why is it that people from different parts of the interweb are bad-mouthing this site? Have you guys done something bad before, or what?

I did come across a thread from a week ago or so that authors would rather change their guides instantaneously as soon as someone would point out THEIR preference of builds, skill orders, and or gameplay just to get a thumb up, leaving the guide to be... well, somehow "clattered."

But wouldn't it be wise if they just removed the rating system and have the old Moba members recommend good guides to people who are fairly new, such as I, to LoL?

Thing is, mobafire is a community driven website, therefore they cannot simply remove current rating system. I'm really not the person to ask since I'm just a regular member and don't know everything.

Personally I don't understand why Yannis answered. I mean, I know he's the MobaFireTV manager guy, but for something like this, it shouldn't have been an informal discussion on Skype. It should have been full sentence responses from Matt, Flash or Mowen, actual admins of this site.

If anyone read Siv's post and is a frequent MobaFire user, and actually BELIEVED Siv, I don't know what to say to you. MobaFire has never done anything "illegal". They've made bad calls before (partnership with Athene, for example), but they've never done anything wrong.

Instead of believing some uninformed hate-monger, believe in the community site that took you in, let you write your guides or participate in the forums with open arms. Unlike other sites that immediately look for your 900000000 elo badge, MobaFire never has.
