Can't say, never seen her after they nerfed mid raka. Might play her in a normal soon to check back on her.

Old soraka was tier-3 tho. Once you know how to deal with her heal in-lane she's easy to deal with.

I know Taric is pretty bad compared to a lot of other supports, but he's very versatile. Yes he has high mana costs, but he does well vs poke and sustain lanes, and is still decent against all in lanes (although trist/leona is quite annoying).

Still though, nearly 40 armor aura at lvl 9 (with just base + lvl + aura) is nothing to shake a stick at, and I still pick him when the enemy team has a ton of AD/poke in lane. I think he falls off a lot lategame though, despite his cooldowns being very short, he just doesn't have a lot of initiation and peel.

Anyways my question would be, who would I want to pick over Taric in those matchups specifically where you face a lot of AD dmg lategame and a lot of poke in lane (eg Lee/Aatrox/AP mid/Cait/poke supp). I feel like the Aura is just really nice for those games and the heal is a great counter for those poke lanes while he still retains some threat.

Leona is fine vs most poke champions (even in lane) because you can just hard engage them all the time, especially after 6. She also gets ******ed bonus stats and works great with items like randuins / frozen heart.

However, don't forget that you don't necessarily need armor aura's to work well vs full ad comps. It's a lot more important to have a lot of peel and disruption vs AD / short ranged champions. The armor aura is good but it isn't worth picking such a useless champion for.

@ Zyra:

I moved her up one spot, but I think this is where she should be right now. Reasoning:
  • Zyra is a more situational pick. Doesn't work that well in every teamcomp (she's primarily a disengage / counterengage champion) while someone like Lulu can fit in every teamcomp and also synergizes better with more different ADCs IMO. She just isn't a very versatile pick.
  • Zyra has more clear weaknesses. She usually autopushes which means a smart jungler will definitely camp her out and abuse her squishyness. Lulu for example has more ability to survive jungle ganks or other sticky situations.

These two reasons are also the main reason why you see so little Zyra in high elo / competitive.

Yeah, Zyra obviously has flaws
The reason I insisted that she was a little too low was because she has a very positive matchup vs 3 of the tier 1 supports, not because she's just a very strong champ overall xD

I guess lulu is still good even after the E duration nerf, though Sona definitely isn't better than zyra xD

I'm happy with her placement now :3c

Also Vyn, do you think zyra would rise up if they reverted some of the changes they made to her? Mainly her E travel time and give her back her movespeed?
