Also, I'm sure you weren't JUST saying "the f-word." That's generally accompanied by some sort of remark. Cursing because you died or something won't get you banned. Swearing at other players will.
I have never heard of a Tribunal case where the player was banned for something they didn't do.
EDIT: Also, that wasn't your first ban, was it? Usually they start off with smaller bans like a couple days or a week, then move to more severe penalties.

There's clearly something you're not telling us, because I swear all the ****ing time in game and nothing's ever happened to me.
There's even an option to turn off the censor on swear words (which is on by default) if you don't care about people swearing, so it's obviously not against the rules to swear unless you're directing it at someone to flame.
