Exactly what you said. It doesn't feel so satisfying to escape or score a kill with him, mainly because it's this easy. I remember when I bought him a long time ago. Haven't played him since then (2-3 months maybe)?
After the Q "nerf" I stopped playing Vlad THAT much, I moved back to Kata and Xin, why, I don't find him boring. I don't find trollling with W great, but it adds some color to his gameplay.
I like how Vlad looks, so scary and awesome at one time, yet noble. Plus, I liked his gameplay :/
As he isn't that abused (well, he is now thanks to Week 51), I enjoyed roflstomping 1v2 on Top. It gives a damn lot of pleasure when you can lock 2 champions alone and still own them a little. Plus, no mirror fights in mid, made using him really fun since I was getting new enemy each game. And yeah, from my mere 4-5 champions that I play most often Vlad is the biggest roflstomper among them, I just like shining and owning people with so called "OPness". Actually his Ulti is pure pleasure to me:D Just seeing that little Hemo ball shrinking and shrinking, Ahhh.
It's not like Vlad is 100% boring and repititive. I got over few hundreds of games with Vlad, and that was even in a row at times since I went Vladoholic for a month or two. It's just... people who main Vladimir like how they roflstomp 95% of players, that's probly the sole reason I don't find Vlad boring ^^
-But yeah, I already don't have Q mark on my keyboard thanks to LoL (really)-

I do believe the nerfs took a big enough toll on vlad to make him a worse champion and one who can be beat by quite a few lane matchups now. He's losing his power it seems.
Yeah, I know that's not what this thread is about, but this seemed like the best place to post that.

ive never like vlad hes so simple use this use that run back ult use q use it again and again and you die i played him yester day and hes so easy to use im mean why make a champ so easy to play but so powerful?
I had some left over RP so I decided to buy him for the hell of it (and then he was free a week later). Playing as him, he's not as much of a faceroll I imagined him to be, but his sustainability is ridiculous considering his damage output, so he's baiscally still a faceroll. And no matter how much they nerf him, I still feel like the pool of blood is a broken skill at its core. It's way too good at escaping ganks (essentially a get out of gank free card), but not too useful in a teamfight. I mean the AoE slow is nice, but your damage output ultimately suffers while using it since your q and W would be off cooldown halfway through using it.
He's really only useful 1v1 I think. In teamfights it's: Lay ult. Use Q one or two times. Wait....
He nice to use but, not particularly fun.

Exactly . You play the wait game now with him , kinda like kassadin is now as well , just blow your spells and wait till they come back around again .

Vladimir free week confirmed my theory from a few monthes back when Vladimir fell off the grid.
(At least, it confirmed my theory, for my own insight on him)
Vlad used to have lots of QQ already, but everyone got distracted by people like Anivia before her ult-nerfs and all the new champions.
My thory was that, Vladimir's gameplay was so lack-luster, that even with his good viability, the majority of LoL didn't enjoy playing him... But this was all in theory.
DreamHack brought him back, and he again received a nerf.
And, his free week came most timely, and I decided to give him another shot. (I had played him once on a free week before I hit 30. This was before Coop, and I failed hard, never tried him again since.)
After only 3 games, I'm already sick of him.
Q all day, E is like a multi-task autoattack..., W has little combat potential, and R is just... I was hoping Hemoplague would give me the same pleasure as Zilan's Time bomb... But, as an ultimate, the cooldown didn't allow that sort of godly terrorist pleasure.
It's just so dang repetitive and lackluster on him.
Curious to what other people think.
To those who enjoy Vlad, if it's because you just enjoy sucking the life out of enemies, and trollpool, don't bother post... e_e
To those who played Vlad relatively well, and dropped him, why?
