Im not entirely sure wether its widely known or how is it called in different cultures but in my country, literal translation goes "Ice cubes".
So ice cubes are a cake made from a soft biscuit soaked in syrup, covered with a layer of creamy, light vanilla cream, and finished with a chocolate glaze. Its the perfect combination for me. First you make a sponge cake, then you cover it with syrup to make it really juicy, which I really like since I'm not a fan of dry desserts to be honest. Then you cook a cream made of milk, sugar, butter, vanilla sugar and spread it all over the biscuit. At the end, a chocolate glaze is poured over, which adds some nice flavour and holds the cream still. It is best served cold which might be a bit off during winter but Its still my favorite by far. I'd be happy to share a picture with you but we're currently fasting and its not good for them to sit in a fridge for too long so It'll have to wait for a different occasion unfortunately. Anyway, I wish you all a merry Christmas and happy new year. <3
EDIT: Ok, I see other fellow members are posting pictures from web so imma do it too, so you all can get a better impression. Behold the delicacy:

In Germany we have some particular sweets called Zimtsterne, cinnamon stars. They're basically Cinnamon cookies in a star shape with a sweet egg creme as coating. They're usually baked as a christmas sweet and I damn love them. The usual recipie contains nuts so I have to adapt by using oats to substitute. I've baked some recently but they've already been eaten :( so here's a picture from the web!
Also, this isn't much of a food but whatever, I did want to mention Glühwein 'cause Glühwein is awesome! Glühwein is hot wine with spices which you can find in any supermarket and on any christmas market during the colder seasons. Warms you up reliably but you can get drunk very fast as people don't notice the alcohol as much if it's hot. And heres another example picture :)

Here in the Philippines, our lifestyle is basically poor. Luckily for our family, we can still eat food everyday but celebrating Christmas and other occasions are always hard. We have no money to put up a celebration, have grandest of all grand food, and no gifts to give to each other. We simply sleep throughout the night and wait 'til the sun rises on the 25th of December, not even bothering to wait for Christmas eve. We have no food on the table, even out relatives didn't even bother to reach out to us or even greet us a merry Christmas.
I grew up watching cartoons on the television. During the Christmas season, Cartoon Network are always playing Christmas episodes, showing what it's like to be celebrating Christmas happily, with food on the table, eggnogs with the family, watching the night sky glows with all its stars light up until Christmas eve. I admit, I felt jealous and envious. I always questioned myself, "how is it like to be like them?"
Until I reached high school, praise the Lord, my father got a promotion and left the Philippines to work abroad. My mom and I worked hard day and night to earn money by selling different types of food and toys at my school. When we had enough money, we finally settled in at our own house near the city, which was a good thing since the products we sell are selling out exponentially when we started to open up a store near our house.
Then Christmas came. Since my dad was outside of the country, I already knew that we would be celebrating this time without him. With my own money, it's my first time buying ingredients to cook for Christmas. I made sure that this is extra special. I bought so much ingredients to cook, even if it's only my mother and I will be celebrating Christmas this year. I checked out of the cashier with a smile on my face. Finally, even though it's expensive to cook for ourselves, we could finally feast on Christmas eve. No more sleeping through the night. And no more tears to shed.
On the 24th, I woke up early to start cooking. My mother helped out and we finished by midday. I asked her if she and I could have a "mini-date" at a nearby mall. Grab coffee, talk about life, and such. When we came home, she then realized something.
"You know, it's bittersweet how this is our first full feast together as family..."
"...but your father isn't here."
That shook me. Because even if we have an abundance of food on the table, you can't compare the happiness my father brought when he comes home every night after work, even without food.
Then someone knocked on the door. When I opened it, my father stepped in with two sacks worth of chocolates and a backpack full of drinks, and eggnog. I hugged him. Real tight. He was out for just almost a year yet it felt like an eternity.
I grabbed a piece of chocolate that he brought from the states. I ate it and cried. No matter what food I prepared, that chocolate I ate reminded me of the bitter childhood I had. How everything was a mess. But now, we can get through life freely. And I cannot be more happier than that.

I am not much of a materialist myself, I know it will sound cliche but my greatest Christmas gift is family gathering.
Although, there is one gift I am looking forward to every year and its a flower. My family knows how much I enjoy gardening and since there is not much flora that blooms in cold weather, I dont have much to do in the winter. So in the last few years I got lots of winter flowers and I am so happy about that. This cute bushy cabbage is what they got me last year. Look how pretty it is while frozen!!!
Cant wait to see which flower will they pick this year🤗

Hey everyone and welcome to our Special Christmas Giveaway! ❄
Our favourite frosty holiday is finally here and there's no better way to celebrate together than sharing stories and creations, and of course, receiving gifts! Not physical gifts in our case as we're all over the world and shipping would be tricky, but we've got some RP that's just as good for you to enjoy (and it fits under any Christmas tree)!
It's been some tough few years for everyone and some of us won't get to celebrate Christmas with our dear ones. That doesn't mean we cannot have fun together as a community and enjoy ourselves, as it's a great part of the year that we should enjoy to the fullest!
Find out below how to take part in the event, and remember, we all need a moment of peace and fun after a difficult year! 😊
Grab yourself a hot tea or cocoa mug and let's see what we've got in our Christmas sack for this event. There will be 10 winners that will receive a $15 RP Code each. In addition, their replies will be featured on the front page in the winners announcement post.
To spice things up, the winners won't be randomly picked for this event. All the entries will be checked by the MOBAFire Team and we will pick our favourite ones. Before the panic sets in, we will pick the ones that we've enjoyed the most, not the longest or the fanciest or anything like that. It's important to have fun while sharing your stories and Christmas spirit and we will as well! :)
If you're not a fan of writing and you prefer sharing your Christmas creations instead, we would also like to see your own Christmas trees and snowmen. We could look at them all day long!
Pick your favourite and reply to this post until the 25th of December at 23:59 PM PST. 🕒
Thank you all for being here and we're very excited to see your replies. Please let us know what you think about this community event and our Christmas themed changes! The winners will be drawn and announced in the first week of 2025. 🎉
