Life steal outside of Wriggle is also kinda meh, but BT works to some extent.

"I sexually Identify as an Attack Helicopter. Ever since I was a boy I dreamed of soaring over the oilfields dropping hot sticky loads on disgusting foreigners. People say to me that a person being a helicopter is Impossible and I’m ****ing ******ed but I don’t care, I’m beautiful. I’m having a plastic surgeon install rotary blades, 30 mm cannons and AMG-114 Hellfire missiles on my body. From now on I want you guys to call me “Apache†and respect my right to kill from above and kill needlessly. If you can’t accept me you’re a heliphobe and need to check your vehicle privilege. Thank you for being so understanding." - Guuse

By investing deep into offense you're overlooking your natural damage potential based just from stances alone and your Triforce procs. Like Trundle, all you really want is Triforce for damage, then you can immediately invest into tanky items. I don't think IE/BT is the way to go - you're not Yi, you're not a glass cannon, and you need to stay alive for as long as possible to stun as often as possible.

I never liked Triforce much. It hardly increases your damage at all compared to other items imo.
I do agree with Boosh that you get surivability first then damage, but AS is only useful for phoenix and imo tiger is better. Phoenix does have better items though...>.>
I just don't think Udyr really is that good played as a tank...he only stuns 1 person or maybe 2 in teamfights and to make a dent in anyone except the carry you need more damage then just a triforce...

These things are why you fail.
Tank is the wrong word for it. It's offtank/tanky DPS. He can buy one or two offensive items then the rest SHOULD be durability.

I.e: Mike Rogers doesn't think it's rape unless the victim knows (s)he has been raped. Sounds legit.

Lately though i've been filling some roles in my teams and done pretty good. IMO I think tanky dps Udyr is still the best, but lately i've been trying out getting IE/BT on Udyr, going something like this.
From there it depends on what i'm building. Sometimes I get Phage > Frozen Mallet for better ganks and more survivability, or Phage > Sheen for Triforce and the early damage of Sheen. Or I could get SV early for the Wriggle's and health, BF Sword for tons of damage on Tiger and IE, Chainvest to counter ad and get an Atma's/SFC if i'm tanking...so at any given time my end build could look like any of a LOT of builds...
so in your opinion which build order is best for udyr, and which playstyle is best too?
