It depends on what playstyle you want/need.
If you need a general off-tank, AD offtank nidalee generally does best in that role.
If you need a poke damage monster, play AP nidalee. She definitely still has her place, but it's not a role of pure off-tank like AD nidalee is.

Well it seems there's a confusion here.
Pure AD glass cannon as hell does REAL damage. It's not poke it's massive burst.

AP is good, but not the best choice. Her cougar form is really strong, and going AP will force you to be more time as human than cougar. Her lance can be easily dodged, and there goes your only damage.

Elementz placed her on top of T1 with full AD, only ever seen a full AD Nid once. I'm afraid she's too squishy when I play her. :<

just wasnt paying attention how hotshot has built her against riven... i know that he had both an ap and an ad build/guide here on mobafire
still i dont want to follow blindly a pro and hear more opinions, ofc i will try both out, but I really am interested in what you say. as i am aiming for nidalee solo top not support i was thinking about buuilding her like a regular ad offtank (warmog+atmas, triforce...)
