Rylai's and Mordekaiser

[/quote] I have NEVER found myself to want/need a 15% slow when playing as mordekaiser. Since that's the case, i wouldn't pay 500g for a 15% slow. Frozen Mallet is superior to Rylai's on Mordekaiser. I have very many times found myself in a situation where a 40% permaslow would help me. 500 speed -> 300 Frozen Mallet 500 speed -> 250 Gunblade Active 500 speed -> 425 Rylai's. I build gunblade over either item, but that's just me i guess. You might ask, well, now that you have a gunblade, what about rylai's aswell? Nope, i just build another gunblade. [/quote] Yup. I like frozen because it gets me to 40% without blue, or sacrificing a slot for Morello's or Shurelya's or something. I would use Randuin's, as it's overall a better item, but like i said, i'm buying it because it's the only way i can build to get to 40% CDR. If i had an easy way of getting to 40% CDR without blue buff, or Frozen Heart, then i would probably build that way. CDR boots < Mpen Boots because Frozen Heart exists.[/quote]

I have blue CDR/level ones, those add a total of 8.1%, and with the 9% from masteries that's 17.1%, which with blue pot would be 27.1%, now i'd need blue buff or 15% in CDR items in order to be capped. Randuin's is 5% not 15%, so i'd need something that does the same job with more CDR. Oh hey frozen heart does that. If i add in the 2 flat CDR quints i have, i get 20% with no blue pot, + 20% from frozen heart = 40%. In order to get the extra 15% CDR, i would need to grab blue pot, AND get a full runepage of CDR. Rylai's is a BAD item in the laning phase. Health is a bad stat for Mordekaiser against anyone but huge burst casters like annie and leblanc. And even them, you should build a negatron cloak and laugh at their damage. Against anyone else other than maybe cho'gath/kassadin/garen you should build straight damage, or straight mitigation with a splash of spell vamp because of your kit. If you want an early/midgame advantage, farm and get Deathcap/Lich Bane at 20 minutes. (My best run is Lich Bane + Deathcap + Gunblade + Sorc Shoes @ 23 minutes.) Enemy team will shit their pants when you three shot their Nasus before he can ult. It's not that Rylai's is a bad item, it's that there are so many better choices, and Mordekaiser only has 6 item slots.[/quote]
