Patch 14.19 is due Wednesday! Read on to get up to date on all the changes that are coming live, including several gameplay and VFX updates, new Fright Night skins, an item overhaul, and more!
These changes appeared on PBE on the 11th of September, but have been slowly shifting over the past week, and may continue to do so. As such, keep in mind that not all of these changes may make it to the live patch. If you’d like to check any of the following changes out before next Wednesday, hop on PBE and queue up!
New Cosmetics - Fright Night
Halloween is nearly upon us, and Riot has released a bundle of new Fright Night skins to mark the occasion. Joining the Fright Night roster this year we’ve got Veigar, Nunu & Wilump, Pyke, Shaco, and Zeri! Veigar’s skin is of the Legendary tier, and will run you 1820 RP. As a legendary skin, it comes with a completely new model, textures, animations, new sound effects, and a new voice over with new lines. The remainder of the skins are Epic, costing 1350 RP. All five skins come with a bundle of Chromas you can acquire for 290 RP a pop.

Zeri fans will be glad to know that the Fright Night Zeri skin comes with its own Prestige variety, complete with a unique splash art. You can acquire Prestige Fright Night Zeri by using up 2000 Worlds 2024 Tokens, which can be accumulated throughout the next few weeks during the new Worlds 2024 Event.

New Cosmetic - Victorious
Patch 14.19 marks the start of the third and final ranked split of 2024. For those of you who were playing ranked throughout the second split, and who have managed to achieve at least a Gold rating, you’ll receive a complementary skin for your troubles - Victorious Sona. The skin comes with up to nine Chromas, ranging from Bronze to Challenger. If you’ve achieved Gold, you’ll receive the base (AKA iron) skin, as well as the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Chromas. The higher you placed, the more colour variations you’ll get.


New Cosmetic - Worlds 2024
Finally, in celebration of the start of Worlds 2024 and the Worlds 2024 Event, one more skin is being added to the shop - Worlds 2024 Viego. This Epic skin will also run you the usual 1350 RP and it comes with two purchasable Chromas and three limited edition chromas which you can acquire through Hextech Crafting, the Worlds 2024 Event Tab, or by purchasing the Chromas as a bundle.

System Changes
New Announcements
A banner will now appear at the top of your screen to signal the spawning of all neutral objectives, including the Voidgrubs, the Rift Herald, Baron Nashor, Drakes, and the Elder Dragon.

New Interactive Emote
You can now press [I] to use a new interactive emote, “My Bad”, when you’ve made some terrible mistake in the game. Your teammates can react by pressing the same key to accept your apology!
New Pings
A system ping will now play when combat begins inside the jungle, indicating a jungle invasion. This ping may trigger only until the 14 minute mark.
Shop & Inventory Changes
You can now add an item to your “Item Queue” by clicking a new button in the Shop. A queued item will be displayed in the HUD next to the shop button. At all times you’ll be able to see your progress towards buying the item by looking at the radial around the item’s icon. When the radial fills, it will flash to indicate you can now purchase the whole item.

When you return to the shop, you can click the button that you previously clicked to add an item to the Item Queue and it will automatically purchase the item for you. If you didn’t have quite enough funds to purchase the whole thing, pressing this button will automatically purchase all the components you can afford, favouring more expensive components.

Additionally, the Shop button now flashes if the player exits the fountain without having purchased any items at the start of the game. Consumables will also now flash if you are under 40% maximum health and currently out of combat.
Turret Changes
Nothing too flashy, but some animations and particles have been cleaned up, as well as the general size and noisiness of hit visuals.
Featured Game Mode Swap
Arena will be gone, at least for now, so if this game mode is your cup of tea, make sure to play as much of it as you can before Patch 14.19 lands on Wednesday. Instead of Arena, Ultimate Spellbook is coming back. In this featured game mode, players choose one additional, random champion’s ultimate ability to deploy in chaotic duels and teamfights.

Elise Quality of Life Update
Passive: Spider Queen - Spiderling base health reduced to 85 − 385 (based on level) from 85 − 390 (based on level).

Quinn VFX Update
Quinn has gotten updated visual effects across the board. These updates will affect the default Quinn as well as the following skins: Phoenix Quinn, Woad Scout Quinn, Corsair Quinn, and Heartseeker Quinn. While Warden Quinn will not be getting fully updated, the visual effects on Blinding Assault (Q) will get updated.
Soraka VFX Update
Soraka has also received visual effects on her default skin as well as: Dryad Soraka, Divine Soraka, Celestine Soraka, Order of the Banana Soraka, and on Program Soraka.
