About This Team Comp

While it's not required, this comp works a lot better if have an early Spatula, because it allows you to reach important power spikes like 4 Battlecast in Stage 2 and 6 Battlecast in Stage 4 without having to find Urgot.

In the early game you don't want to level, maximize your economy and slow roll for Graves, Illaoi and Kogmaw. Most of the time you avoid rolling for Nocturne, since he isn't that powerful and can block your Bench. You can roll a bit in Stage 3-1 with Level 4 to find more upgrades so you won't lose too much HP in Stage 3.

Stay above 50 gold and slow roll for Illaoi*3, Graves*3 and Kogmaw*3. Once you hit your core units or feel like you can't hit any units anymore you want to push towards Level 8. With a Battlecast Emblem or an early Urgot you can reach 6 Battlecast early, which makes your mid game a lot easier.

You can also look for a second Battlecast Emblem and aim for 8 Battlecast as your win condition. While the chase trait is strong, it's not a guaranteed win. Add Urgot and other utility units like Thresh, Soraka or Lulu to help cap out your board.

Stage 2

In this version you want to 3 Star several Tier 1 units, so you don't want to level and instead build up your economy to 50 gold. Afterwards slow roll your interest for Graves, Illaoi and Kogmaw. You can pick up Nocturne*3 as well, but he isn't that strong and you might run into bench space trouble if you pick him up as well.

Stage 3

You can roll down to 30~ gold in Stage 3-1 with Level 4 to upgrade your board to save some HP in Stage 3 and look for Cassio. Recover your economy afterwards and slow roll your gold for Graves, Illaoi and Kogmaw. Once your core setup is finished or you feel like you can't hit any units anymore in a reasonable amount of time you can start to push level.

Stage 4

Itemize Illaoi as your main tank and give Cassio Blue Buff. You can transfer the Blue Buff later to Viktor, since you likely won't find Cassio*3 anyways. Best case scenario is to have a Battlecast Emblem with an early Viktor for a 6 Battlecast power spike. Otherwise you can run something like Blitzcrank/Bard and hope for an Urgot in Stage 4 Carousel.

Stage 5+

Push for Level 8/9, add Viktor + Urgot or BC Emblem so you remain stable with 6 Battle Cast. With a second Emblem you can aim for 8 Battlecast win condition otherwise you can add utility units like Soraka, Thresh or Lulu.

Battle Cast Emblem

If you have an early Emblem and want to commit on Battlecast, then the Emblem should go on Graves, so you have 4 Battlecast in early game to help you stabilize. If you find one later you can give it to Gnar instead.
