There are no heroes, there are champions.
And there is a specific thread for this kind of questions stickied to the top.

"A person giving you advice isn't perfect and has their own shortcomings but they may give you the piece that you're missing."
Saying there are no heroes seems a bit anal retentive to me.

Well almost none of them have any heoric traits, most are murderous bastards really.

Wasn't there a thread similar to this earlier on during the day ?
Anyway, if you're wondering what mid laned champions you should get, here's a list of champions tiers that could help you in your decision-making.
AP Carries:
Tier 1: Karthus, Ahri, Ryze, Morgana, Kennen, Cassiopeia, Vladimir, Anivia, Swain,
Tier 2: Kog'Maw, Twisted Fate, Orianna, Kassadin, Galio, Zilean, Veigar, Gragas, Rumble, Annie, Mordekaiser,
Tier 3: Lux, LeBlanc, Xerath, Lulu, Fizz, Viktor, Sion, Ziggs,
Tier 4: Brand, Malzahar, Katarina, Akali, Heimerdinger,
For any explanations as to why some champions are ranked higher than the other, you can check out this link.

The author himself has provided tons of reasons to convince you why some of the champions that you hate or like should be at the listed tier.
If you asked for my opinion though, I'd say
Fiddlesticks should be a relatively easy hero to pick up.
He's a mid-ranged fighter, has a heal and fear cc.
His entire kit is pretty much cc based.

THANK YOU LACORPSE FOR THE SIGGY. YOU HAVE SUCH A GOOD FAN SERVICE :D !!
I have a request to all of the users on Mobafire. If it's not too much for you guys, do +Rep me if I've said something reasonable, crack a funny joke or provide the latest updates . Likewise, I've been +Rep-ing people so long as I find their post likeable. So let's help out each other now, shall we ;) ?
Good sustain lane + CC
Swain,
Ahri,
Morgana,
Fiddlesticks,
Galio
Vladimir has best sustain, imo, but he doesn't have any CC aside the slow from
Sanguine Pool
Kennen, on the other hand, has godly stuns, but doesn't possess innate sustain. Fixable with
Hextech Revolver :)

I'm looking for good in sustaining lane and good cc. :)
Edited :)
