The HSLoL 2013 Summer Tournament (or Season 0) will serve as a beta, pre-season event for the official launch of the League of Legends division of the High School Starleague. This event will not only allow us to gauge interest for high school LoL tournaments but more importantly help us prepare for the official season. If your school is interested in joining this epic clash between champions from around the NA continent, then you can register school coordinators here, and once you have registered as a coordinator, you can register your team here.

General Info Date: July-August Participants: First 128 teams (only 1 team allowed per school for this tournament) Format: Up to 128 Team single-elimination bracket, Bo3 until Bo5 finals Eligibility: All participants must be enrolled in a US/Canadian high school for the 2013-2014 school year Schedule: Default is 5pm PST/8pm EST every Saturday, starting 7/20.
This time can be rescheduled if the coordinators of both teams agree.

What if I can’t make a match day?
If your team wants to play a match on a different day, both teams must agree upon a time, and the notify an administrator. Administrators have the final say on all reschedules
. I’m not sure I can commit to HSL.
The maximum roster of every team is 7, thus if on some days one or two players can’t make it the team may still play with the remaining players. This allows for greater flexibility with your schedules as students and other extracurricular obligations.
Are there going to be prizes?
There are not any prizes at the moment, but the more teams/viewers we have, the better prizes/sponsors we can attract. The Starcraft 2 prize pool last season was valued at around $800. With a good showing we can easily top that.
Is EUW/EUNE eligible?
Unfortunately at this time, HSL is a purely NA organization, however EUW/EUNE may be eligible in future events.
Multiple teams from a school?
This is allowed, make sure that there are separate coordinators for each team, and that teams are named differently. For example, Rainbow High School, Rainbow High School B, and so on.
How do the schools determine their coordinator?
It is the responsibility of the League of Legends community at your school to designate a coordinator.

If both coordinators agree to allow spectators, then yes they are allowed.
Are outside casters allowed?
See above. Past the round of 8 all games will be casted and streamed by HSL.
