[10.10] Push the winrate

UPDATE MESSAGE 10.10
Recent change is that I place Runaan-Guinsoo combo into a second-third item slots mainly because of huge advances these items are giving you in synergy with Essense Reaver. Your sub-shots will proc mana generation, your Guinsoo becomes permanently stackes and you can add farming of jungle camps to your advantage. Choice between Zeal item and Guinsoo is pretty straightforward. If you can push more your line (nobody is in there), buying Guinsoo is more favorable. Don't be afraid of pushing lines in season 10. The games unfold much faster now and there is a lot of places for your enemies to waste time. The chances are likely that they will not punish you for taking their inhibitor at all. With Guinsoo you make it very fast. Guinsoo was made to proc on-hit effects twice, that part was nerfed. But you buy it not for that part, but because you are very effective at pushing waves and it gives you big value of attack speed.

====================================================
Lucian is an ADC champion which is basically teaching you the ADC role. He got everything you need from ADC, and mainly limited by his mana pool. By extending mana pool with Essense Reaver (ER) you get that extra-pressure on enemy waves that you need. By the 20 minute mark you usually already won your lane, and the main problem is to push minions waves as fast as possible, while also boosting your teamfight potential. The best results are obtained with "More Scaling" runes, but you are more prone to ganks with those and can be heavily traded back early in lane. For that particular runes I recommend you to get Doran Shield as starting item. I usually buy Doran blade on first back because it is gold-efficient item, boosting both your survivability and damage. Survivability is your main concern, because the ADC role is all about making it up to maximum farm with least wasted time. Your time is already wasted because you are forced to recall often early. You do that because you lack early mana sources. Taking Manaflow is a very bad way, thou, because you waste your rune slot, you have just enough mana from Blue buffs and Essense Reaver.

ER is your major powerspike, so it is best to never delay it. As soon as you get 1100 gold, it is best to recall immediately and buy Caufield Hammer (CH). Because you need 2200 more gold for ER, but CH gives you that exact cooldown reduction to farm and push faster.

You are essentially CDR and AS locked champion, these are your main bottlenecks, so push these borders as fast as possible. Right after ER your main choice is to go Attack Speed items. Runaan is not compatible, so you have 4 choices. Best one is Rageblade, but it fits into 4th slot better then second and third. 2-3rd are optimal for either Statik+RFC or Statik+PD, depending on whether you going to soak more damage or chase your targets (with RFC).

BT is nice contribution for 12% lifesteal from Bloodline. Sometimes you going to need Cleaver or Botrk instead of BT, but it is very rare.

Notes: do not fall for Phase Rush, or any other keystone, it's not optimal at all. You instantly remove any chance to be viable with wrong runes.

Do not fall for Botrk-rush builds, those are sub-optimal too. You delay your pushing and farming capabilities a lot.

Also do NOT fall for lifesteal-centered builds. If you lack raw DPS, lifesteal will be worthless. Lucian excels at performing at maximum DPS, so there is no reason to go for anything else.

There is, though, some sub-optimal builds, reliant on Manamune+Trinity combo (so-called on-hit Lucian build), but these builds are cost-ineffective, because they basically provide no Critical strike. Having Critical is your major advancement for being effective pick as ADC. On midlane Lucian, though, TF could be used.

In default runes, the versatile rune is "Overgrowth". It works great, but it is the least rune you depend on. Can switch to "Shield Bash". What it does is providing extra layer of security from your support f-ups. You really need that. Because if you are behind in lane, you are in deep trouble. You have lane-dominant ADC, so you win your lane with 90% chance, there is simply no question about it.
