Hi all! If you think I've got anything wrong here, don't be surprised, Taliyah Support is not exactly a common thing.
Blitzcrank
If you get hooked buy Blitz, it's almost certainly going to result in a free kill or flashes for the enemy botlane. However, the early cool down on his hook is about 20 seconds, so you can abuse this when he misses, as he's useless against your abilities then.
Alistar
His engage is quite lethal for you, however it doesn't have as much range as other engage supports. Make sure to stay at range from him and zone him away with your q.
Braum
He doesn't have much kill pressure, but landing q can provide a good engage for his ADC. Avoid his q and punish him for trying to hit it.
Fiddlesticks
I haven't played Taliyah Support into this matchup before, but I can imagine this is quite a good lane for you. His silence will be a problem, so be careful of it, but he won't be able to use his wow at all since you'll just w or q him when he does.
Galio
His e-w combo is pretty scary for Taliyah, but if you can predict where he'll land after using his e, you can push away or to a more optimal spot with your w.
Brand
His poke and his All-ins post 6 are extremely dangerous, but he is very squishy , so you can make use of this by pulling him towards you and getting a quick kill.
Janna
Her poke and power in all=ins and trades is nothing compared to yours, and she's one of the squishiest supports in the game. Most of the time she's just a free kill waiting to happen.
Karma
Her w is the only part of her kit you really need to be careful of, as it makes you very vulnerable once you're rooted. Otherwise, you can try to w her when she goes in to land her q.
Leona
A horrible matchup, never take Taliyah into Leona. Leona is in a very good spot meta wise right now, and her matchup against Taliyah is no different. She can negate much of your damage with your w, can lock you down super easily with her CC chain, and it's a bad idea to pull her toward you when she walks up to use her support item. Avoid her e range in lane and farm till late, you outscale her.
Lulu
Generally you have more poke than her, especially if you w her towards you when she tries to poke with aa's or q's. W'ing her towards you can even result in a kill. Be careful of the power she can give her ADC in fights, so never focus her then.
Lux
I honestly don't understand why people play this champion in support. Her q is the only part of her kit which is dangerous to you, so always avoid that, you'll never win a trade if you get hit by it. But if she's used it, you can try to w her and get an easy kill.
Morgana
Her q has a big hitbox, so both that and her let are extremely dangerous to you, and her e blocks your w. If she plays the lane badly, however, she'll miss her q and use her e on your q when you trade, meaning you can pull her towards you and she will only have her w left.
Nami
Nami's good CC, strong trades and disengage make this a difficult lane for you. Avoid any fight in lane and try to outscale, you have a much better chance against her in team fights.
Nautilus
Lots of CC, very tanky, try to throw him away from you and your ADC with your w and punish missed hooks with your q.
Senna
Senna plays quite similar to you in lane, it just depends on who does it better. Know that she is quite squishy and her roams are worse than yours.
Pyke
Horrible lane, very annoying, makes you really tilted, DEFINITELY AVOID. If you do somehow get yourself into a draft against this guy, avoid roaming, avoid fighting, play passive, definitely worth a ban.
Rakan
Also a very bad lane. It's really easy for him to engage on you and your ADC and keep you CC'd with his ult. One cheeky thing you can try is throwing him behind you with your w when he tries to go in with his w, where he will be far enough away from his ADC that he can't e back to them. This will be harder to pull of if he's with Xayah, but you can still try it.
Sona
Could go either way. She counters much of your poke with her w and e, however, she is very squishy, especially pre 6, so you can try and kill her then.
Soraka
Taliyah Support is great for playing against these kinds of enchanter supports. Most Sorakas will try to start a trade using e, so you can use this to your advantage and get some free damage.
Thresh
Like most Tanky engage supports, this is not a good matchup. Again, punish missed hooks, but don't go too close as good Threshes can also use their e to engage. Care for the possibility of a flash-e combo. One thing you can do in extended fights is use your w on the lantern when you see his teammate is going to use it.
Vel'Koz
This matchup can go either way, the most important thing for both sides is to consider cooldowns. Whoever has more abilities wins the trade, really. After he has 6 save your w in fights because you can cancel his ult with it.
Xerath
Horrible poke, the only weapon you have against him is your w. You can cancel his ult with yours if you can see it coming.
Yuumi
This is really good for Taliyah, if you land your w on the ADC you automatically land it on yuumi as well, and her ability to kite allows you to dodge her ult.
Zilean
His ult. Just why.
Yasuo
(Also works with Yasuo mid). I cannot get over how interesting this botlane is. It works really well throughout the whole game as Taliyah can give Yasuo consistent AoE knockups throughout the game with her w and ult (which I was surprised to find out). Throw down one ult in the middle of a line of enemies and Yasuo gets a Pentakill.
Aphelios
Has a lot of close-range damage, so he can do a lot with Taliyah's w-e combo. However he is squishy, and Taliyah can't provide a lot of peel for him.
Ashe
Very good at picking of single enemies, as Taliyah can w them in and Ashe's CC combo keeps them there. However, there's nothing really special about their 2v2s.
Caitlyn
There's a lot of good things going for this synergy. Both have quite high damage and poke, and both have just enough peel to keep them alive. If Caitlyn can get a trap onto the enemy, Taliyah can w them in. If you're very good, you can w them onto Caitlyn's traps.
Draven
Huge early damage and close range power.
Ezreal
Ezreal has lots of self-peel, but Taliyah and Ezreal just lack the damage to win fights, so they can only really get kills with the help of a gank. Ask for help from your jungler.
Jhin
His w root is an amazing setup for an engage, but Jhin can't do much with that engage if you can't protect him. Be very careful about what Jhin roots you engage on.
Heimerdinger
Quite a strange ADC, but you see it sometimes. This actually works quite well as you can throw the enemy into his turrets and e range, so you can do a huge amount of damage together.
Jinx
Jinx has quite a weak lane, so you need a gank to really do something. However, her w slow can result in a good trade if you keep it short.
Kai'Sa
Kai'Sa can do quite a lot with your engages, especially if you can manage to throw them away from the wave so she can land her entire q on them. That is quite difficult to do though, so don't worry about it too much.
Kalista
I don't really know about this synergy, so I'm going to leave it in ok. I imagine she can kite anybody you use your w on quite effectively, but her ult is relatively useless with you.
Kog'Maw
Your slows allow both of you to land more skillshots, and you're both able to play a safe lane quite well as you have good poke and scale hard. Neither of you can peel well, though, so not getting caught is very important in this lane.
Lucian
You can get nice early kills together and Lucian has self-peel, so it's a pretty good lane. Post 6 your e slow allows him to hit his ult quite easily.
Miss Fortune
Nothing special in this lane. You don't have much synergy, but you're not bad together, either. Be careful to save your w post 6 so you can use it with her ult.
Senna
Fasting Senna is the only viable Senna ADC strategy left, and Taliyah does like farming. Fights are not her strong point, so ask for ganks if you want kills. She does well in long-range fights, so consider that.
Sivir
Not too bad. Her ult allows you to land your abilities much easier. Use your w so she can effectively use her q on the enemy.
Tristana
No specific synergies, but she has good early damage and self-peel.
Vayne
When you come back to lane post 6, come in through the river and try to catch an enemy on your side of the lane with your ult so she can e them against the wall. Nothing special about this synergy otherwise.
Xayah
Throwing an enemy in front of Xayah post 6 when she has a lot of feathers down is a great idea.
Pantheon
Not an ADC, but still a great synergy with Taliyah. His early damage and CC lets Taliyah push the enemy back and secure a kill. If you have a Pantheon Jungle or mid, ask for early roams.
