It's a sad day to be an Alistar main who doesn't want to play support.
Top Alistar has been abolished, Mid Alistar is a meme, and the cow seems more locked into the chains of his support role than ever. NO LONGER.

With JUNGLE ALISTAR, you can pulverize the competition, providing your team a hard body, loads of CC, and potentially, a respectable amount of damage.

Your role as jungle Alistar isn't to hyper carry, but to enable your mid, top, and adc to hyper carry.

Unless you want to play AP assassin cow. Then your role is to jump on the squishies and make them regret the day they decided to queue for the game we call league of legends

Alistar provides some of the strongest early game ganks of any jungler without the reliance on reaching level 6 to get his ult. When he DOES get his ult, it's extremely easy to tower dive low health enemies to give easy kills to your laners.

Late game it falls upon you to engage for your team, and keep those pesky assassins off of your carries! Alistar's heavy CC, along with some choice items, makes this a walk in the jungle.

All these things said, I wouldn't recommend Alistar jungle in a team that doesn't have much damage. This build typically doesn't do very much damage on its own, and its main strength comes from CCing and peeling for your carries.

Always start on bot side. Spacing your Q and E correctly with your jungler item heal will give you very safe AOE camp clear.

You have the option to level up W second and gank at level 2, but this hinders your clear until you hit level 3, so I usually get level 3 before ganking.
