Nunu can win the game before FIddlesticks has a chance to play. Spam ping and try to ward the river bush early game, or your team WILL die to every Nunu gank.
Zed
Your AOE fear makes it easy for him to land his shurikens. He can also help you focus major threats such as Kindred or Viego before the fear wears off.

I plan on hitting challenger in Season 12 and you can watch me on Twitch (linked above) to see me climb, or you can watch my YouTube: King Fidd

Now that I've proven my credentials let's move onto the guide!
As you can see in the item guide, my first purchase EVERY game is Hailblade+Control Ward+Health Potion. I consider Emberknife to be troll on Fiddlesticks, he is not a duelist champion you don't want or need it. I place the control ward in the bush on the bottom side of the map near the river entrance to one of my buffs. I've circled these 2 bushes in the image below.

Finally, the health potion is for if you mess up your clear (it happens to the best of us 😥) or for an early game fight to give the slight edge in an early fight (such as you counterganking the enemy jungler).
Fiddle is pretty much the worst early game duelist in the jungle. The only champions you ever beat early are Evelynn or Rengar (when he is not near bushes). You can be 1 or 2 levels up on a Lee Sin or Kindred and they will still beat you 1v1. However, Fiddlesticks has one of the fastest clears in the game due to his ability to clear multiple camps at the same time. This is why the most optimal path on Fiddlesticks is to just full clear for level 4. After full clearing, you can either look for a gank or just take scuttle crab and just full clear again.
Doing an early dragon is not worth it since Fiddlesticks does dragon very slowly. You mainly want to powerfarm for level 6 and only go for early ganks if they are free. Typically I will start topside, clear down to bot, get scuttle then gank or recall. I full clear down again and if I got off a successful early gank I am 6 by now and get a free double kill botlane. The games I don't path botlane are when I have a weak support (Sona or Yuumi) and I have a duelist top lane (Fiora, Camille, or etc.)
When you are against champions that may invade level 2 (champions with low cooldown dashes such as Kindred, Graves, Nidalee, or Jarvan) I would just start blue buff with a leash into gromp. DO NOT DO BLUE+WOLVES, DO WOLVES AFTER GROMP.
If you straight up get invaded level 1 and cannot ful clear, just clear what camps you can and just put a point in Q at level 3. Putting a 2nd point in W is just to help you full clear faster, so it is not worth doing if you cannot full clear.
The one objective that is very valuable early if Rift Herald, whcih can give a massive gold swing to your team if you secure it. Look for oppotunities to take it after a Top/Mid gank or simply take it when your Top and Mid have lane priority, whcih is when they have their wave shoved into the enemy turret.
***IMPORTANT NOTE***
SORCERERS SHOES MUST BE RUSHED, IT GIVES YOU MOVEMENT SPEED TO RUN AROUND THE MAP AND THE MAGIC PENE BOOSTS YOUR DAMAGE TREMENDOUSLY, IF YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH GOLD FOR IT ON YOUR FIRST BACK JUST BUY BOOTS+AMP TOME.
Mid game, you will want to use your ultimate off cooldown. Try to use it on more important lanes, getting your top lane Malphite ahead will not do much (unless the enemy top laner has a huge shut down) but getting your Zed ahead helps snowball the game. Bot lane is always a nice gank since there are 2 potential kills bot lane at all times. Do not be afraid to dive, especially if you have stopwatch, just make sure the enemy jungler isn't nearby to counter it.
A lot of players try to overforce their ultimates. If you do not land the fear and don't have flash to flash fear the enemy, it is just best to walk it off and not waste time, Fiddle does not have any other gapclosers to get on the enemy. Just ignore any spam pings it happens sometimes.
Basically play like this:
-
Clear jungle
Look for ganks with ultimate
Do objectives if possible (Rift Herald and turret plates are most important)
Recall for items
Repeast
You can save your ultimate for drag fights too but it is sometimes hard to get your team to group so don't sweat it if you give 2 dragons away. Try to contest 3rd and 4th dragon. Once laning ends you can look to use ultimate mid for kills, but if they play too far back you can just get kills in the side lane. Be very careful at this stage because you are easy to pick off and it will lose your team the game.
At this point you should be checking the scoreboard (it is what pops up when you press Tab for you newbies) and checking out the enemy team. Finish your Mythic (most games I go Rocketbelt) and Zhonyas first. If they have a ton of healing buy an Oblivion Orb but don't finish Morellonomicon until later, it is not worth it. If they are buying magic resist, go for Void Staff. If they don't heal and aren't buying magic resist, you can go for Rabadon's Deathcap.
Here is an example build order:
-
Sorcerer's shoes (first buy)
Blasting wand + amp tome (Unless you are goign Liandries, then go for lost chapter)
Mythic (Rocketbelt or Liandries)
Zhonyas
Oblivion Orb if they have healing, do not complete Morellonomicon (skip if they don't have healing)
Void Staff if they have started buying Magic Resist
Rabadon's Deathcap
Complete Morellonomicon or buy Horizon Focus.
When you are clearing your jungle, try to go in a straight line, from Krugs to Gromp or from Gromp to Krugs. This makes your clear much more efficient and saves time.
Once Baron spawns you can definitely begin looking to do it. Just be aware that you do not do much damage to it, so you will need someone with high dps to do it with. Try to get a pick on the enemy jungler (you can do this with ultimate) before doing baron. Fiddlesticks can tank Baron once he has Zhonyas, just be careful not to get your drain cancelled by the Baron knockup, or else it has a long cooldown. You are also very vulnerable to getting engaged on when doing Baron, since you cannot utilize your AOE fear, so keep that in mind.
There are some certain advanced Fiddlesticks tricks you can use to help close out a game. The enemy team may only send their takes up close becuase their back line is playing safe from your utlimate. When you see that, sometimes you can surprise them with an ult onto the tanks then doing the W+flash to fear the back line. This can take a bit of practice but can be helpful in late game fights.
Try very hard not to get picked out, Fiddlesticks is a very vulnerable and immobile champion. Work with your team to secure vision control and play very safe when getting into ultimate positions. It can be tempting to look for the perfect ultimate angle, but it is far more valuable to stay alive and not get picked off.
