Aatrox
Playing into Aatrox and Riven are sort of the same, you wont really be able to get off Q's very often and therefore playing more like a Tryndamere or a Darius might be a better option, grasp procs are necessary for your damage and healing. W max might a must, this makes for easier to farm and trade.

Champion Build Guide
When I first started playing the game, I found Sion, the Noxian leg beast and I'd love to share my thoughts and experience with the champ.
I've also started streaming my struggle to climb, at www.twitch.tv/gildhofflol, hopefully yall would wanna come check out my stream. I don't have a stream schedule currently, however I do stream ever now and then, so please do come check me out.
A few content creators you can look up could either be TheBausFFS, infamous for being "The AD Sion" and popularizing it and making it to challanger because of it.
His Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/thebausffs
His youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/Thebausffs
There's also a personal favorite of mine, Tilterella, he's infamous for his super cheesy Sion playstyle and making it to high elo playing almost purely Sion mid or top.

Holding down Q will starting charging the ability for up to 2 seconds, increasing its range, knock up duration, stun duration and the damage every .25 seconds.
You can re-cast the ability at anytime, dealing physical damage to enemies in the Q area.
The base damage at max charge is 133.33/155/166.67/183.33
Minimum damage is 30/50/70/90/110 for just tapping Q.

W - Soul Furnace
Passive: Sion permanently gains 4 bonus health whenever he kills an enemy, increased to 15 bonus health against large enemies and champion takedowns.
Active: Sion shields himself for up to 6 seconds for 50/75/100/125/150 + (8/9/10/11/12 of his maximum health). Soul furnace can be recast after 3 seconds for as long as the shield is not destroyed.
Recast: Soul furnace's shield is detonated to deal magic damage (40/65/90/115/140 + 10/11/12/13/14% of his maximum health)

E - Roar of the slayer
Sion bellows in the target direction, dealing magic damage (65/100/135/170/205) to the first enemy hit, slowing them for 2.5 seconds as well as reducing their armor for 4 seconds.
If the target is a minion or a non-epic monster, it is stunned for .75 seconds and knocked back, in the same line, up to 1300 units away from Sion. dealing the same damage and applying the same effects to all enemies it passes through as briefly revealing the are it goes through.

R - Unstoppable onslaught
Active: Sion becomes immune to crowd control and ghosted and, after .066 seconds delay, he charges forward in the direction of the cursor for up to 8 seconds, during which he is able to steer at a slow turn rate while automatically navigating his movement.
The charge uses Sion's movement speed at the time of the cast and is unaffected by external sources for the duration, including movement speed caps, while also gaining 40 bonus movement speed ever .1 seconds, capping at 950 total movement speed.
Upon reaching the end of the end of the duration, Sion leaps forward 300-units, landing after .55 seconds and slamming the ground around him. Colliding with and enemy champion or terrain will stop unstoppable onslaught prematurely. Running into terrain will also self-stun Sion for .5 seconds.
Recast: Sion stops charging, causing him to leap forward and slam the ground around him as if unstoppable onslaught had reached the end of its duration.

You hit quite a powerspike lvl 5 with serrated dirk, this item makes your able to poke a lot better and it might even get you and easy solo kill early on.
I sometimes like to roam bot with my R if tp is available and i have lane pressure.
In lower elo, the other laners dont really expect you to ult bot or midlane, they might hear the ult sound-queue but they will most likely not expect you to bot/mid. In higher elo it is not recommended to roam bot with R since the laners will most likely react fast enough to get away.
For tank Sion, finishing laning phase and starting to roam is very important. Farming is important yeah, but as Sion your tanking power lies in being able to peel for your team, because of your infinitely scaling W, your damage will scale with sunfire aegies as well as Hydra, meaning that you have one of the highest damage outputs as a tank on top of you also being one of the tankiest beasts on rift.
You can utilize tp to make some abstract flank plays, you could tp behind their team, ult, and this could end up in a highly rewarding play.
As tank Sion you wanna protect your team. Sion is one of the best tanks in the game so abuse that. As mentioned in the mid-game explanation, you are an infinitely scaling tank, your damage is massive considering you are a tank
You've probably already heard this one before, but always re-activate your R just before hitting someone with it, trying to hit your R point blank is pretty damn hard and will not happen 70% of the time, believe it or not, but Sion r is stupidly easy to side step.
Sion's R is pretty damn hard to hit in the first place, its damn easy to avoid it, both because of the loud sound-queue the whole map will hear when you press your R button.
With Sion you should probably go in a practice match and learn his R. Learn how to angle into baron and dragon pit, get those drifts right, and learn how to turn corners well, a tip for this, dont ever turn a corner right next to a wall, the wall will obscure your turn and make you turn less smooth.
As Sion you gotta wanna abuse fog of war to make sure you can make those cheesy plays that win you, your game. Try and predict where the enemy will go by charging up your q.
For easy cheesy Sion plays you can abuse the massive range of your E for the armor penetration and slow.
You could also do the Tilterella Strategy. The strat is that you go down to botlane, wait in either the middle bush or the bush most towards the enemy base, from here you tell your botlane to play as normal, and then you try and get either a two man Q or just a one man Q.
You can use your E on the scuttle into a wall. Hitting into a wall makes your able to instantly use Q and basically fully charge it as well as your E also removes the scuttle shield
2 seconds before red buff spawns in you can charge up your Q for instant max damage, on top of that, you'll be able to use your Q way earlier, therefor your clearing will be much more efficient.
When pathing to raptors, you should look at your Q CD, just about a second or two before Q comes off CD, you wanna use your W, getting off W as well as a max charged Q makes sure you're just about 85% health and raptors should be getting one-shot from the combo, only thing you'll have to worry about is the big raptor.
Do remember to kite the camps.
