Viktor 1v1 is extremely powerful and also scales very well. Play comet E max and you should be able to trade a bit better, but it's still very difficult. He is weak to your gank setup and also not as effective as you in skirmishes, so try stay healthy enough to receive ganks and only trade defensively.
Orianna
Orianna has a very powerful laning phase (if she runs comet) but is reasonably immobile and doesn't scale that well. Play comet E max and do your best to dodge as many Qs as possible. Try stay healthy enough to setup a gank at 6 with R.
Irelia
Irelia has insane mobility and sustain which makes her very difficult to kill in the 1v1. Save your W defensively and use it to dodge her stun. If you can go relatively even in lane you should be far more useful in teamfights and skirmishes. Be careful post 6 if you use W to dodge stun she may look to engage with R while your W is on cooldown.
Syndra
Syndra has a pretty good laning phase if she plays comet or aery, but if you dodge a lot of skillshots you can win. Play comet E max and you should win trades when your E is up. Make sure to play defensive and try avoid damage while E is on CD. You do very well against her in teamfights and have great gank setup so as long as you don't get blasted 1v1 you should be fine.
Vladimir
If Vlad has the right setup he can be very annoying, but otherwise it's actually easy. You can't really gank Vlad (unless you can force him to use pool) and which the TP + resolve + dshield setup you will probably run oom before you can kill him. If he doesn't have the sustain setup then just make sure to time your harass when he comes up to CS to make it guaranteed and you should be able to get a kill early. You can consider ignite in this matchup for more kill pressure.
Azir
You beat Azir 1v1 early with comet E max, but as the lane goes on it can start to become very difficult. You can buffer his ult if you time E correctly so you shouldn't worry too much about getting ganked. If you can build a 1v1 lead in the first few levels you should be in a good spot, otherwise play mainly for skirmishes and teamfights.
Neeko
Neeko is pretty strong early but you can definitely win. Play comet E max and focus on dodging her E (to avoid follow up Q damage). You definitely outscale her so going even is a win, but if you dodge enough skillshots you can probably come out ahead.
Xerath
Xerath isn't too bad in the early levels but the lane will get harder as it goes on. Play comet E max and focus on dodging skillshots and hitting him with E when he comes up to CS. At 6 you can probably setup a gank and you will be much more useful in fights, so try not to bleed too much 1v1.
Hwei
This matchup is actually not too bad if you abuse your comet E max early, but if you fall behind and can't contest the wave it will quickly become miserable. Try abuse early lane and then setup ganks post 6.
Lux
Lux is one of the harder 1v1 matchups, play comet E max and focus on staying apart from the wave so she can't E you and the wave at the same time. Trade out W to dodge Q if you need to. You can probably setup a gank at 6 or outperform her in teamfights or the sidelane.
Heimerdinger
Heimer is surprisingly difficult, he's difficult to gank because of his ulti turret and he has enough push 1v1 to make it difficult for you to contest the wave. Play comet E max but most likely you will fall a little behind in lane. You will be much more useful than him in skirmishes and teamfights as long as you don't bleed too much CS/turret plates, so try get good bases to minimize your losses (normally with TP or after 1 shotting a wave)
Cassiopeia
Cassiopeia is a very volatile skill matchup. If you overextend too far without having either W or E available she will probably chase you down the lane. If you want to be ultra safe you can play comet E max and just play from range constantly, but I think you can get away with electrocute Q max. Always make sure you have either E or W to disengage from the trade and don't get caught too far up the lane.
LeBlanc
LeBlanc is one of the best champs at punishing your CDs if you waste them, but as long as you have Q available you should be able to proc electrocute and win the trade when she jumps in. At level 1 her W has a 15 second CD so if she uses it you should be able to zone her off the wave and get prio. After this beware her gank setup, and play in the wave to avoid getting hit by the chain.
Corki
Corki has some scary windows but overall isn't too bad. Beware his level 1 as his chase down with E is very powerful. Once you get to level 2, you should be able to win QE trades and disengage before he can do meaningful damage to you. As long as you don't waste your E he shouldn't have windows to punish you, and you will normally be more useful in fights unless you stop farming.
Akali
Akali has a lot of sustain but it's difficult for her to kill you. Focus mainly on Q and auto poke, don't use E as often until you have a bit more mana. If she uses W aggressively you can match your W to run away, but again be careful using this too much early because of the mana cost. Post 6 if you get caught too far up on the wave and she ults you, just trade ult and bounce yourself out.
Fizz
Fizz is mostly easy but has a couple scary moments. You should be able to bully him very hard 1 and 2, just make sure you don't get E'd on too early so try step up when his creeps are low. Level 3 you need to start being careful, so ideally slowpush the first 3 waves in and then have the wave bounce back to you. If you've done a lot of damage by then you can probably keep trading, otherwise be careful of him just Qing directly onto you especially if your CDs are down. You both have very good gank setup at 6 so keep in mind the jungle positions.
Zoe
This matchup is very volatile and can quickly snowball out of control if either of you makes mistakes. You should be able to get control of the wave early, and then use this to build a health lead in the first few levels. It's ultra important to not get hit by a bubble, so keep the creeps in front of you and be willing to trade W to dodge it if you need. She's very gankable post 6 especially if you manage to get some damage on her.
Zed
You should be able to bully Zed levels 1 and 2 pretty hard, once he hits level 3 he will look to trade on you with his W. If you have the mana, you can trade your W and just avoid the damage. If you don't, then just try to dodge at least 1 shuriken. Post 6 he has reasonable threat but you should have mana to trade W every time he uses it, and try punish when he's down. If he ults you, immediately trade yours and try bounce outa there.
Yasuo
Yasuo can be scary early but you do incredibly well into him in teamfights and will overall be much more useful unless you lose early game very hard. Focus on trading defensively and keeping the wave on your side. Don't give him room to run you down and you should be all good.
Yone
Yone has a lot of sustain and very good gank setup, try abuse hard levels 1 and 2 and then after this have the wave come back to the middle or on your side. You should be able to win trades as long as he doesn't have Q3, and when you get more mana you can just match W with his E. Be really careful fighting him on his bork spike but overall you should be more useful in skirmishes and teamfights unless you get solokilled in lane or on sidelane.
Sylas
Sylas will depend a lot on what build he's playing. No matter what, dodging the E is very important so normally you want to play inside your creep wave to dodge this. If he's playing electrocute, be very careful of his trades early and focus on playing a bit more cautious and not giving him the room to run you down. If he's playing Conqueror he'll scale better but should be a lot weaker in lane unless the trade is very long. You can consider ignite in this matchup for more kill pressure.
Naafiri
Naafiri has a lot of sustain but has significant mana problems. Focus on positioning aggro in the lane and dodging her Q or making her use Q in order to farm the wave. If you waste your cooldowns she will probably try W onto her, so either time your cooldowns when she comes up to CS or save E/W in order to disengage from the trade.
Ziggs
Ziggs outranges you but doesn't have a whole lot of kill threat. Play comet E max and as long as you don't get hit by too many Qs you should be fine. Make sure to play apart from the wave so he can't push it at the same time as harassing you. Your skirmishes are far superior, but be careful about roaming too much and giving up tower plates.
Anivia
Anivia can be pretty rough if you let her through the early lane untouched. Your goal is to take advantage of her weak early lane to make sure that by the time she is 6 she doesn't have tons of items. Stand next to the wave and look for QE trades, you can trade W to dodge her Q if you need to. Post 6 look for ganks but be careful getting caught too far up the wave by her wall if you don't have W up.
Ahri
Ahri is a reasonably difficult champ to punish because of her mobility, but if you do manage to hit your abilities the trades should be very favorable. Even if you don't build a lead in lane she can't really put you behind and overall you are a stronger champion when it comes to teamfighting and skirmishing.
Diana
Against Diana the main thing is to try and dodge her Q, it's fairly difficult but you can alternate outranging it by walking back, or sometimes walking forward and punishing her. The only way she can win is by spam poking you out, or by forcing a trade if you miss all your cooldowns so play a bit safer when they are down.
Ekko
Ekko is fairly easy but has a few tricks to be aware of. His level 1 E start hail of blades trade is very strong, to avoid this just play in your creep wave and trade back as best you can with Q + electrocute. If he starts to push the waves with Q, you need to stand to the side of the wave to be in a position to zone him off while his Q is down. Level 2+ trades should pretty much be in your favor, but be careful of being caught by his W if he casts it out of vision.
Galio
Galio pre first base is very punishable, you want to try force trades her but be careful of using too much mana if he starts dshield. If you go too far up without cooldowns he can force a trade by Eing directly onto you so make sure to play around this. If you build a build lead pre first base you should be able to snowball. If you don't and he gets spectres cowl you won't be able to do much to him anymore, so at this point just play for 2v2s and 3v3s.
Lissandra
Lissandra is hard to gank and has good ganksetup of her own, but the trades themselves should be very favorable to you. If you want to win lane even harder you can play comet E max, but I think going electrocute gives better skirmishing and should still be good for lane. Make sure to stand apart from the wave so she can't push and harass with Q at the same time.
Smolder
Smolder is surprisingly strong at level 1 if he can chase you down the lane, so play for the first electrocute proc and kite into your wave. After level 2 you should win trades with QE as long as his boneplating is down. Attacking his mana pool and forcing out Es early is also very viable. If you don't punish him in early levels then the lane will start to become difficult around level 7-9.
Aurelion Sol
Trading against Asol is very easy and there are only a few scary windows. At level 1, trade with Q from behind your creeps and you won't take much damage. At level 2 the short trades with QE are very favorable, but he might look to punish by chasing you down with W, if this happens again kite into your creep wave. From level 3 onwards you can pretty much always harass with QE and if he tries to chase you just W away from him.
Kassadin
If you're not good at the laning phase you'll probably find Kassadin very tough. If you play well though and get a lot of Q + electrocute and auto harass in the early game you should always be at a significant item advantage. If he's not pretty behind pre first base he will start to statcheck you fairly quickly, so get ahead and stay ahead.
Katarina
Katarina is mostly easy but you should be careful of a couple things. Make sure you never stand on daggers as her trade will almost always start with this. At level 2 if you walk up too far she might try E directly onto you and chase you down. As long as you don't miss the combo here you will probably just kill her. Once you're level 3 you can always kite out with W so you should be fine. You can consider ignite in this matchup for extra kill threat.
Qiyana
Qiyana is a weak laner early and you should look to Q auto or QE her whenever she comes up to the wave. The main danger is getting chased down the lane if you miss your CDs, so after level 3 try keep the lane in the middle rather than being pushed into her tower. Don't stand too close to the river/walls at 6 and you should have no trouble.
Taliyah
Taliyah is very weak at trading early and susceptible to ganks, but she scales very well and does have a lot of push. Focus on trying to stop her from autoing when her Q is on CD to regain some push and look to go for QE trades after she's used CDs on the wave. At level 3 you can usually dodge her E with W by just using it backwards and even if you get stunned you might be outside of her range.
Vex
Vex is strong when she has fear up but weak when it's down. At later levels you can just trade W when she tries to use her E or Q with fear. Early on though you will probably just have to tank it and then try play more aggro when it's down. You outscale Vex pretty hard so even if you don't get a lot done early you should be fine.
Swain
Depending on runepage Swain can be deceptively strong. If he's running anything except Aery it should be easy to trade at basically any point. If he has Aery, you should win trades with electrocute up but try avoid when they are down. Make sure you dodge side to side to avoid getting hit by a random E and it should be pretty easy. The only way to die is getting caught post 6 too far up in the wave with no escapes and getting chased down.
Vel'Koz
Vel'Koz pre 6 is pretty weak, play slightly inside the wave so you can use the creeps to block his Q but not completely inside it to where you can get hit by his W at the same time. You can take comet E max to punish lane harder, or electrocute Q max for stronger skirmishing. His only real threat is at 6 where if he lands an E on you he will immediately ult you, focus on Wing his E if he ever casts it. He's extremely immobile so ganks or teamfights should be easy.
Tristana
Tristana has a few threatening windows to be careful. At level 1 she might start W and try chase you down the lane, if you can proc Q + electrocute and you're in your creep wave you should probably win this, especially if you got her boneplating out first. At level 2 hold your QE defensively to make sure she can't punish by jumping onto you. Once you're level 3, you can always W away from her W trades and you can go back to using QE aggressively.
Jayce
Jayce is quite easy, he's very weak until he gets 2 points at Q at level 3, so you can get prio and keep the wave in front of you so he can't punish. Look for QE harass if he comes up to the wave, and be a bit careful of him Qing onto the melees and trying to chase you down if you waste your cooldowns. If you don't punish early and he gets dirk first base it can be a bit scary, but otherwise you should have no issues.
Ryze
Ryze has a lot of push early but he can't really stand up to you in trades. Abuse his short range by trying to harass him with QE when he comes up to the wave. He also struggles into you in teamfights, so the only real loss condition is playing too passively early and letting him impact the map, or dying to a level 3 gank.
Malzahar
Malzahar is very weak in lane and you can win trades at basically any time. Just make sure to kill his voidlings as quickly as possible when they spawn, even if you have to commit a cooldown to do it. Whenever he uses cooldowns on the wave look to move up and either stop him from autoing or force a trade if he doesn't retreat. Other than his level 6 gank setup you have nothing to be scared of as long as you punish early to prevent him from getting to his waveclear too fast.
Twisted Fate
TF is a very weak laner and you should be able to remain in control of the wave at all times, and look for QE trades whenever he comes up to CS. Make sure you can trying to force trades or at least stop him from autoing the wave whenever he uses his cooldowns. The only real threat is his gank setup, or getting random roams off if you don't pressure lane enough.
Talon
Talon might seem scary but it's actually quite easy. As long as you don't get hit by both parts of W he doesn't really have any trading power, and this should be easy with your movement speed. At level 1 you can get big trades by standing to the side of the wave and poking with Q. At level 2 look for QE trades and DO NOT get hit by both parts of W. Take W level 3 and if he ever engages on you just trade out your W and the lanephase should be free. At 6 you can also trade ults if you think you'll take a lot of damage when he ultis.
Zilean
Zilean is a very weak laner so you should easily be able to secure push, and whenever he uses Q you can move up and look to force trades. He does have good ganksetup so make sure to get wards down. In fights you also counter him with your insane AOE, just be careful getting caught out by engaging too early.
Veigar
Veigar is extremely easy, play apart from the wave so he can't Q both the creeps to stack and you at the same time. If he ever uses Q you can walk up and look to force a trade on him when it's down. He's also immobile and easily ganked, and the only real threat is his cage or if you engage too early in a fight and get one shot.

Laning Phase
The laning phase on Aurora largely depends on if you're playing the normal electrocute Q max build or comet E max build (into longer ranged mages). If you're playing electrocute Q max, look to trade mainly around electrocute normally with QE and proccing electrocute with the second Q. At level 1 you can Q1 auto Q2 to proc electrocute. It's very difficult for people to trade back because electrocute + sudden impact + scorch is so strong, and your trading pattern naturally disengages you.
If you're playing comet E max then you will just trade around your E/comet CD. It's a very long cooldown so make sure to wait until it's guaranteed (they walk up for CS or try harass you). If you have scorch you will also proc sudden impact with just your E, so you can trade a lot of damage from fairly far away.
Post 6 if your opponent gets too low you can all in them with R and usually force a flash, alternatively just wait for river fights/jungle gank then you can commit your R to that instead.
Mid Game
In the mid game as Aurora you will want to do your best to continue to keep up your gold/xp while also being at all the major objective fights. The best way to do this is try shove the side wave as far as you can without dying. If you don't have TP up, it can be a good idea to group with your team instead and just catch sidewaves when they are going to crash on your tower until your TP comes back up. If your sidelane matchup is really easy + your team is winning and you have vision then sidelaning should be very easy, if the opposite of these things are true then you will need to be a lot safer on side. You have a fair amount of mobility as Aurora so you might just be able to ult + W away, but that means you won't have your R CD for a fight. When you've pushed the wave as far as you can generally look to get a flank on mid, or if no one is defending the tower + you have vision maybe you can put some pressure here.
Teamfighting and Skirmishing
Aurora mainly teamfights as a secondary engage burst champion. You want to hit R on as many people as possible, but ideally squishies. The easiest way to do this is to try get a flank or follow up on someone elses engage. You can primary engage, but have to be careful as you may be immediately one shot if they have CC nearby. If you aren't playing the burst build then you will instead look to just kite back rather than looking to dive onto their ADCs and use your ult more for the slow/peel than the burst damage.
Most of Aurora's teamfighting skill comes from before the teamfight. You want to get the sidelane shoved out, find a flank position and also be strong enough to actually threaten the backline. Once you get fed the teamfights mostly play themselves as long as you're patient and wait for specific CCs on the enemy team to be used before you go in.
