Introduction
His playstyle is very unique and always slightly support oriented
Unlike many champions, Ivern doesnt have a clear skill rotation that you just run down and repeat, instead you have the ability to really make plays with him, which makes him a rather skill based champ, but not in the sense of pulling of combos that require practice and fast reactions but instead of knowing exactly what you want to do and how you are going to do it, you will most likely need a lot of experience to do very good with him, which is also why you should only use this guide as an orientation when starting to play Ivern and then figure out everything on your own.
Even though he is really fun to play, I do not think he is suited for everyone, his playstyle is very different from other junglers and requires more planning and thinking, and if youre someone who just wants to get as many kills as possible, this isnt really your optimal choice.
I made this guide trying to keep it simple without writing a whole book (seriously who needs to read all that to learn a champion?) but including everything needed to easily get going with Ivern
Control ward near your read
Ward enemy blue before it spawns
Decide on Route:
Normal
Raptors > Red > Blue > Smite Scuttle > Gromp > Wolves > Collect Raptors > Collect Red > Smite Krugs > Collect Wolves > Collect Gromp
Bluesteal
Raptors > Red > Smite enemy blue > Krugs > Red > Raptors > Wolves > Blue > Smite Scuttle > Gromp
Redsteal
WIP due to 8.10
You can solo Dragon as soon as you hit level 6, given that you have your ult and smite, just keep shielding daisy. Make sure you have blue buff to not run out of mana and shield daisy often enough

Ivern works best with all melee carries or bruisers, thanks to his Q letting his teammates dash to the target he synergizes perfectly with strong bruisers that lack Gap closers, for example Darius, but he also works fantastically with Assasins like Zed or Champions like Kassadin, as well as Tanks that can profit from multiple shields in a long fight and (mobile) ADCs like Kai'sa if you choose to go with ardent censor
Generally speaking, Ivern has perfect synergy with everything that can go all-in.

You are squishy. Even though you buy those health items. And you dont do that much damage, even though you buy those AP Items. Your main benefit to a team is near endless utility.
In fights you should stay out of the danger zone where you can get nuked, instead, send Daisy in to fight for you - since you can shield her and your Q has a very long range you still participate in fights to the fullest if your intent is to do damage, but often you should focus on shielding the enemy teams target to help out your team, secure kills or even start engages using your Q and using Daisy as a substitute for an engaging Tank
But Daisy isnt only pretty tanky, she also does quite some Damage and her knockup radius is massive, its like a pocket Braum Ult on every third hit and can hit the whole enemy team if positioned correctly.
The downside to playing Ivern is that youre not a solo carry. If all your lanes are doing badly it doesnt look good for you. Ivern can help one good person become the carry of the whole game, but he can almost never carry the game by himself all alone.
