Conqueror is more of a teamfight rune. But honestly, he's already pretty strong in teamfights, I just don't see the point. Grasp + Sheen + AA makes his early trading very strong, which I like personally. Credits for this build go to iZeal in EUW.

Gives a lot of pushing power, which is good for a lack of AD early.

Against poke matchups.

Against all-in.

Overgrowth:

For stacking HP. I like Overgrowth a bit more over Revitalize for the tankiness, but both are pretty good.

Revitalize:

For more healing. Again, I like Overgrowth a bit more over Revitalize for the tankiness, but both are pretty good.

Free 300 gold is huge, especially with this expensive build.

Cosmic Insight:

Pair this with a scaling CDR shard for a lot of CDR early to spam your abilities a lot more.

More early healing for better early trades.

Ravenous Hunter:

A lot of lifesteal if you stack it up.

Starting Items:

Doran's Shield:

My starting item in all of my games. The bonus health and healing makes it very hard to push you out of lane.

Doran's Blade:

Also a viable option, but lacks tankiness in exchange for damage.

Long Sword:

The option for RAW MASCULINE DAMAGE. Good for rushing Tiamat or a lethality item.

First Back Items:

Sheen:

Not the most ideal item, but it's the best one out of the 3 because you can't abuse the movespeed of Phage and Stinger is Stinger.

Cloth Armor:

If you're having trouble against AD. Upgrade it into a Bramble Vest if they heal a lot.

Null-Magic Mantle:

If you're having trouble against AP.

Core Items:

Trinity Force:

Mostly for the Sheen passive, making his E pretty good as an AA reset.

Ninja Tabi:

Against heavy AD.

Mercury's Treads:

Against heavy AP.

Death's Dance:

Not buying Death's Dance on Aatrox is trolling. It gives him everything he wants, CDR, Tankiness, and AD.

Instead of going over each option of item, I'll go through items other people build on Aatrox that I'm not a fan of.

Guardian Angel:

Yes, we all miss the revive. But GA just isn't that good. Usually Sterak's Gage is better, as it gives more AD and also makes you HUGE.

Maw of Malmortius:

This is definitely an "if you're ahead" item, but in general I think Spirit Visage is a better buy, as it makes you tankier and also makes you heal more.
