Introduction and skills
Let's start by telling you that AP Corki is IN MY OPINION the best way to play him.
His missiles do magic damage so having magic penetration runes help get that insane missile damage out. The missiles don't stack a lot with AP but that doesn't matter. With all the AP and magic penetration you'll get with this build it will kill squishies with just a few missiles, without ever having to be near them.
By the end of the game his Valkyrie will do about 400 magic damage per second, potentially killing squishy chasers and softening up everyone in team fights. It's duration is quite short but it still burns your enemies up.
Phosphorous bomb.. I love you. This motherf**cking ability will literally slice you enemies health in half when used. Its cooldown is pretty hefty, so feel free to get some cooldown reduction instead of armor seals and magic pen glyphs. (I'd recommend cooldown/lvl runes in that case.)
His passive is useless with AP corki, so I see no reason to cover it.
His gatling gun is not very useful either, but late game you will be able to assist your team by decreasing your enemies armor. Don't count on it doing any kind of damage though.
The runes I have chosen are my personal preference. I do not know if there are better runes to use, but I tend to max out magic penetration when I play AP champions. Feel free to try other rune builds and tell me in the comments if you've found a potentially better rune build.
As mentioned in the introduction, getting cooldown per level glyphs and seals is not a bad idea, thinking about the massive cooldowns Corki has (except for his missiles, even though cooldown reduction pumps out missiles faster).

This build has worked very well for me, and I will probably keep using it. Of course I will experiment with different AP builds for Corki, and you should too, especially if you feel that this one doesn't do the trick.
Try to get Tear of the Goddess ASAP, as you will need its mana stack. You can, instead of rushing to Archangel staff, get Ruylai's after shoes, and then finish your Archangel Staff, as it may not have stacked enough mana by the time you're done with it.
Rylai's Crysal Scepter is a great item for Corki, as his Valkyrie will now slow enemies by 15%, thus creating a even better escape. It also removes Corki's squishy factor.
I get Deathfire Grasp since late game most players are pretty bruisy, and if you're up against e.g. Vladimir, Deathfire Grasp is a must. See if this item fits the game, you don't have to get it if their tank is not a pain or their team is really squishy.

For summoner spells I get Ignite and Flash. Ignite is not required, nor is flash, but I recommend both. Getting exhaust instead of ignite can be a better idea sometimes, as this will e.g. allow for them staying on top of your Valkyrie for a longer period of time. It is also good for obvious reasons, such as messing with their AD carries and stuff like that.
I find summoner spells being a personal preference, so don't feel forced to getting the ones I use. Feel for yourself.
