Not Updated For Current Season
This guide has not yet been updated for the current season. Please keep this in mind while reading. You can see the most recently updated guides on the browse guides page
Jhin is an all-or-nothing champ. Works very well with high CC supports and his ult can be very difficult to dodge with your own, since he has 4 shots. Your attack speed may be higher but his deals more raw damage output.
Vayne
Never run from a vayne. Her passive gives her MS towards enemy champs, which isn't good if you want the enemies to chase you (gives you a chance to press E and root). Crack down on her early game and don't let her out-farm you.
Tristana
Her jump will easily close gaps during laning phase, and there just isn't a big enough window of time to place down enough feathers for self peel. Try to bait out her jumps and then punish her with your root.
Caitlyn
Cait's early game is much stronger than Xayah's with her massive auto attack range. Focus more on farming and scaling faster so you can progress further to late game and team fight engages. You can also use your ult to counter hers.
Yasuo
Ah yes, the toxic windsh!tter. If he lands a knockup on you, you can't proc your ult and he'll easily execute you with his. Be sure to ping your mid laner to keep him in check or he'll roam and snatch free kills.
Jinx
Since you and Jinx are both squishy, the one with more raw damage output will win laning phase. Do your best to suppress her scaling early game and put her further behind.
Draven
If you can root him with feathers and lock him down with a cc support, you can stop him from catching his spinning axes. Your ult can also be used to easily dodge his, but only once. Heavy poke him in lane and you can make it to late game.
Ashe
Her extremely annoying slow passive can be very tilting. If you place your feathers correctly, you can provide a bit of self-peel to make a clean getaway in the event that she's chasing you down.
Senna
If Senna can land her Q on you, she'll want to go in to grab a wraith stack. Try to cancel the animation by rooting her before she can get the stack off and punish her for engaging with her root.
Kindred
As rarely as it's played, Kindred ADC is a thing. If you can keep eyes on her and stop her from taking jungle camps and getting stacks, you can suppress her scaling long enough to out-damage her late game.
Samira
Since Samira has been heavily nerfed the last couple of patches, she's much weaker. Bait out her wind wall and place feathers carefully so that you can lock her down with cc before she heals back her entire healthbar.
Miss Fortune
Her champ is very strong with chasing and movement speed, which Xayah can work around. If you can place your feathers behind her and pull them back to root, you can get away from her engages safely. Lock her down with cc while she's in her ult to cancel damage output.
Varus
Varus vs. Xayah is a mostly skill-based matchup. If you can easily kite out his poke, he has nothing he can do against you.
Sivir
Pre-level 6, Sivir is pretty weak, putting her at a greater disadvantage against your level 2 mini power spike. Bait out her spell shield and use your passive + auto attacks to proc root.
Rakan
These two were literally MADE for each other. W passive, Lover's Leap, and your ults combine very well for a massive amount of damage.
Thresh
That flay is nasty, but it'll help you lock down cc on the enemy champs. Moving was never an option.
Ahri
If you're lucky to get an Ahri support, you can use her charm to your advantage. Place feathers behind the enemy while they're charmed and root them before they can get away, which will give you more time to dock their health faster.
Neeko
Since Neeko root pierces through all enemies within the hitbox, it gives you a great opportunity to hit your root combo and maximize damage late game.
Soraka
You're both very squishy, but the early game sustain can be incredibly helpful against high burst ADCs. Combine her silence with your root to pull off a double cc chain.
Morgana
If she can hit her Qs, you have a pretty large window of time to place feathers carefully and pull off a second root for a double cc chain.
Seraphine
Any charm works incredibly well with Xayah ult. Stand in front of her to increase the range of her ult during engage and proc your own ult for an instant double cc and raw damage combo. Extra disgusting.
Alistar
Alistar doesn't generally work too well with Xayah, but if he can vault the enemy into range of your line of feathers, you can get an opportunity to proc E damage.
Xerath
Not a very good support for Xayah. His poke will keep enemies far away from your feathers, putting you at a massive disadvantage and rendering your E almost useless.
Lulu
Her polymorph is pretty damn good for peel, and her MS boost is extremely useful to help you run from the enemy laner and proc your E. Her ult will keep you alive in team fights for long enough to deal a ridiculous amount of AOE damage.
Sona
Her movement speed boost can be very helpful when trying to escape, putting more distance between you and the enemy laner and giving you an opportunity to place more feathers down.
Vel'Koz
Pre-level 6 he's not terrible, but his poke ability range is larger than yours, which will drive the enemies away from your feathers.
Lux
Lux is a better support for securing kills instead of giving them to the ADC. Even if she lands her root, 99% of Lux players would rather take the kill than let you have it, putting you far behind and hurting your late game scaling.
