Introduction

Vel'koz is a champion that requires a lot of patients and practice to master. All of his abilities are skill shots, and missing one can be the difference between a kill and your enemy running away laughing.

Items

Vel'koz does a ton of damage, his ult has a huge range and does insane damage, squishies will be deleted quickly. The downside to his damage is that he is one of the most mana hungry champs in the game, mana regen items and blue buff are essential to you winning lane and being a sustained damage dealer late game.

Team Work

When it comes to team fighting vel'koz must stay back. He is usually #1 priority for the opposing team, and rightfully so, as a few well placed vel'koz attacks can turn the tide of a team fight. You have no escape ability, so always be aware of your surroundings and retreat if a threat is heading your direction, you cant take much damage, zhonya's for emergency use only.

Farming

Farm and harass with your W and Q, you will find that your W will clear waves very quickly, it will also punish your lane opponent for stepping in to cs. Use this to keep the pressure on your lane opponent, but remember not to over extend as you will leave yourself open to ganks.

Your Q can be fired around a minion waved and activated again to shoot 2 beams out at 90 degree angles. Use this to harass your lane opponent.
