Hello and welcome to my Katarina build. This build will go over the basic idea of how to play Katarina and what to build her with. I hope this build helps you become a great Katarina player. So let us begin.

I think a good place to start is weather or not your the Kat type.... first of all, if you like being a tank, charging in head first, Kat probably isn't your type. second, it can be done, but i think that an attack damage Kat is a waste, so if you want to play attack damage Kat then this isn't a good build for you. third, and most important, if your not willing to go for the ADC or the AP caster, your wasting your time. Kat has a HUGE burst, but after that she has a fairly long wait for her CD's to come back. so targeting a tank= dead Kat. With that burst though you will rip through the squishys.[*]

Teleports your champion toward your cursor's location. 300 second cooldown.

Ok, runes.
Basically, take magic penetration marks and ability power glyph, seals, and quintessences. The magic pen is for when they have so magic resist you will cut through it. The rest are ability power for increased damage. More AP, more damage, more fed kat. Simple enough.

voracity
an amazing passive. i personally think the best in the game. after a kill or assist your CDs are reduced by 15 seconds, meaning you got your Q,W, and E back instantly. it also reduces the CD on your ult, and since your ult only has about a 45 second CD, 3 kills/assist and your ults back. thats powerful.

your bread and butter ability. does nice damage and applys a mark that can be detonated by a basic attack or Sinister Steel.

sinister steelyour only ability that really does damage off of AD, though it also deals AP damage.making it very useful when conbined with Shunpo for detonating Bouncing Blades.

a good spell for attack or retreat. you can use it to engage, join a fight, or get out of bad situations. the only setback is that you MUST jump to an ally or enemy, unlike Ezreal's archane shift.but a good trick for this is to carry WARDS. wards are Katarina's friend. if your in trouble and no way out, simply place a ward and jump to it. its kind of hard and takes practice, but you should be able to get it. this is where smart casting items and abilities helps.

death lotus
Great ult. high damage, simple to use. The most simple way to use it, Shunpoin and activate. Be careful though, almost any form of cc with stop you in your tracks. This is one of the things that makes Kat a hard champ. Not the ability itself, but when to use it. If you use it to early, you get CCed to death. If you use it to late, well, your shot at kills is all but gone. So timing is key with this ability.

Cleansethis one is a hard one. it can be ultra useful for escaping, but i'm not sure where to put it because if your being focused with CC your going down fast. I'll have to experiment some.

heres the part were we talk about who kat works well with.
she is ussualy decent with anyone with cc, so most tanks.
Amumu amumu's ult sets you up for a perfect death lotus.
Malphite same with his ult.
Sona the combo of ult and heal, so strong
Kennen dat stun.
Leona never ending stuns.


im sure there are more but this is just to give you an idea.

This is a section I would like to put in to try and make the league of legends a better game to play.
