take 2 of these at first for the great mana regen and for a quick build into Chalice of Harmony
Get these as soon as possible for bonus movement speed and CDR
Take this if your lane opponent is an AP champion
Grab this if you are against an AD heavy team or an AD champ in lane seeing as they will probably have lifesteal
This is absolutely necessary on Lissandra because she is all about a safe engage.
Ridiculous on any AP champion HUGE AP
Pick this up for the AP and the Magic pen because you dont have any penetration besides the Magic pen marks
This is an amazing item on lissandra, you have to be really close to get your abilities off so the aura will always be helping you, no to mention the huge magic resist and good amount of AP

Ice Shard at level one and max it first because it is your harass skill in lane, the cast range on this is very small but if you get it to hit something it shatters and goes twice as far, position yourself so that you can hit a minion and the shatter will hit your lane opponent. If you master this skill you will be able to harass with ease until they are low enough for your full combo for the kill. Second i max Glacial Path as i find its more useful than Ring of Frost the only problem with this is that it is a skill that is rather hard to hit and missing it takes away so much damage from your burst. take your ult whenever you can because it deals massive damage giving you either hard cc or a free Zhonya's Hourglass. I can't tell you how close to useless lissandra is when her E is on cool down you cant even get close enough for an Ice Shard or to root them in place with your Ring of Frost If any of you have played enough of lissandra I'm sure you can relate.
Laning Phase
Ice Shard once you figure that out you can widdle down your opponent until you can get the kill with your full combo or force them out of lane, if you cant learn this skill then you wont have much kill potential until you have your ult at level 6. Third, never EVER harass your opponent with Glacial Path because of the massive cool down on it at early levels, you always want it up so you can synergize with your jungler by using it into your Ring of Frost for an easy kill or vice versa getting out of sticky situations when you fall behind or you get ganked. Follow these 3 simple rules and you should have a pretty easy landing phase.
TeamFights
Glacial Path into the middle of the entire team and then root them all in place with your Ring of Frost, once they are free they are gonna go straight at you, which is when you either Frozen Tomb yourself or use your Zhonya's Hourglass depending on the situation. By that time your team shouldve been able to follow up on your perfect engage and you can use your remaining spells to focus down the squishes. So your goal in a teamfight is to engage and CC as many people as possible
